I have a best friend who is a great guy, always wanting to give and wanting to learn. Always trying to be a better person. I've known him for 10 years since we were in school. We are quite close and one thing we have in our friendship is our transparency when it comes to money.

Both of us come from humble backgrounds and as we started work we had the money to hang out and spend more and as we reached this stage of life, we are always honest when we want to hang out but have no money. We will always pay for each other in different situations. Sometimes we pay back sometimes we don't. We have the trust that neither of us will take advantage of each other's generosity.

However, I recently got fired and have been doing odd jobs which didn't earn me much money to hang out. Of course, he paid for me when we hang out during this time. Like always, he never expects me to pay back but trusts I have the decency to and vice versa. But it's been several months now and I still haven't found a stable job. We have like a reunion with our classmates soon and I expect there would be a high cost. I told him I would give it a pass but he insists that wants me to come so he would pay for me as well. I told him no, he have paid for me a lot recently and until I get a stable income I don't want to accept it.

He said ok. This was few days ago. We haven't talked since (but we do have periods that we don't talk but we still keep in touch). But I can just feel like what I said caused this silence

I just watched a video about why there are left-handed (well, out of curiosity). For my 22 years of life, I have firmly believed I am a left-handed person simply because I write and draw with my left hand ever since I was young.

But this video made me realise something weird about myself when it stated certain "left-handers" do things with their right. I took a moment to recall and realised even though I throw with my left, I throw a punch with my right. And that is just one of the several things I realised. Any reason why this is so ?

I'm trying to write a rebel story for a project. To make it short, I'll try to summarize the setting.

It takes place in the distant future when mankind can travel great distances in space and have colonize a lot of planets. An Earth government still rule everything, though their influence is weaker the further the colony is from Earth. Wanting to escape the countless business laws and taxes of Earth government, a rich businessman started an agriculture company on one of the further planets.

His business started with a patch of land for farming and quickly grows to a country's worth of land for both his business and lifestyle. Basically, he owns plenty of land on the planet and many people live and work on these lands. Since Earth government doesn't have a big influence on the planet, he decided to declare his land under his rule as King. Although he was a fair king at first, the businessman inside of him took over and he got greedy and selfish. He raised taxes etc. When his people demanded better treatment or requested to leave his empire, he reacted harshly which caused violence in one of the many protests.

This is when the rebellion started forming and the main part of my story begins.

So besides the space travelling and the planet colonising, is this a realistic setup to the setting. Particularly the part where he declares himself king. Does that actually happen that way ?

My friend recently told me about the long line of DC animated movies and recommended Flashpoint Paradox. I really liked it and asked what the next one was and he said Justice League: War. I'm halfway through that one but I just feel like I missed a lot. I mean Batman, Green Lantern and Superman never knew each other. Victor isn't Cyborg yet. Wonder Woman is meeting the president and The Flash is mentioned without even appearing yet.

I feel like I missed several movies before this. I googled it and found there was a ton of movies since 2004 but couldn't figure out which is connected to which.

I'm quite new to DC. The only thing I remembered was the Justice League series when I was a kid. So if possible I would like to start from the beginning (for the DC Animated Movies at least, not series). It just bothers me that I am watching a later movie without watching the earlier ones.

So basically, I was really close with this girl, let's call her Alice, when I was in school but we were just friends. We graduated together but there were some drama there won't go into details but most of her girl friends left her and she was stuck with me cos we went to the same college. We grew very close and I started to have feelings for her. She started making new friends by joining a club. I was about to confess to her how I felt when she told me first that she was interested in this guy at the club. I was heartbroken. I saw that she always have seen me as a friend. I tried to keep in touch but she seemed to want to spend more time with her friends and her new boyfriend. Eventually we grew apart.

I never talked to another girl except for schoolwork. And from where I'm from I need to serve my country when I'm 18. After college I served my 2 years in army and had no interactions with a girl at all for two years.

After my service I decided to become a cop. But it was a rough start cos I got lost in the recruitment building but luckily another girl, call her Rose, was lost too. To make it short, we hit it off from there and I've been having a lot of fun with her this past month.

But few days ago, Alice texted. She broke up with bf and said i was the only one she could turn to. I immediately felt my feelings for Alice rush back. But I have been having a lot of fun with Rose who actually is showing interest in me. So I'm really not sure what to do now.

I m a United supporter and really happy with the performance but I realise that all the articles and media are ignoring the fact that Zlatan was offside for the winning goal. Any reason why ?

I have read about the events but only recently read about the reactions. I am horrified to know that some Muslims are glad that the victims got their life taken the way it did.

Yes, the religion views homosexuality as a sin but I feel that is no way to see and treat another human being. If they are going to hell, I believe Allah will do it. We have no right to take another's life despite our beliefs and I feel those are happy about what happen, are siding with the shooter.

Islam is a religion of peace. So even if you harbor these thoughts in your mind, I feel you are not staying true to the religion. What do my fellow Muslims think of this incident ?

Or is it just life expectancy ? I had a conversation with a friend about life expectancy of humans being 35 in the 1500s. But then I realised life expectancy and lifespan are two different things.

So now I want to know if the lifespan of humans 500 years are lower than they are now. If so how long ?

Additionally, IF the answer for the above question is yes, is it possible that 500 years in the future, humans will have and even longer lifespan ?

I am not so good with tech lingo so bear with me.

My current laptop was performing really slowly and it said that the RAM memory was low (it was 2GB). So i asked my friend about it and he told me to change the RAM and I remembered I had a laptop which is totally not working now with 4GB RAM. So i asked if he could help me change it(he has experience) and he said it's very simple.

So I watched some tutorials and it was very easy. So I decided to try it. When I opened it, my current laptop had two slots for RAM. One of which is occupied. So I simply put the new RAM in, closed it and I thought it was all good.

But then when i tried turning the laptop on, the LED lights turned on and so did the fan and all the internal components but my screen never turned on.

I tried googling it and I followed a guide that suggested i took out the battery and power supply and then pressing the power button and so on and followed it to the letter. Many comments were made about how it worked but it didn't for me.

So now i'm quite desperate. I wrote the whole story so hopefully someone can point out a mistake I made and help or just suggest a solution.

Me and my gf are planning to try out some sexual stuff for the first time but I'm 20 and she's 17.

What is the legal age in Singapore ? Cos I have heard some at 16 while others have said 18. I need to be sure just to be safe.

I have 4 cats right now. 2 of them are 6 months old sisters. The other 2 are more senior. There is absolutely no problem with 3 of them. But recently one of the younger one started pooping and peeing at a corner of the living room. But she don't do it anywhere else. Just that one spot of the living room. I thought it was a little accident at first but she is not even using the litterbox now.

How do I retrain her to use the litterbox again ?

I turn on my laptop and my desktop doesn't show. There is only a black screen there. But my laptop is on. The cursor is still there and I can move it around but there is nothing to click on. Everything is just black. I can't even right-click.

The only reason I can type this question right now is to go to Task Manager through Ctrl-Alt-Del, and start Chrome manually. However my desktop still doesn't show. If I minimise this window now, It would show the black screen again.

Ok I might have been blinded by Halo while purchasing the Xbox One cos I did no research whatsoever. And now I can't play the game cos I don't have proper internet connection.

(My internet is down and I have to find a new one or repair this one, I'm not sure about the details, just that I'm expecting not to have a proper internet connection for a while)

Ok so I heard every game need to be installed first and it took a while (30 mins) for the Master Chief Collection to be installed. And I enjoyed it. But I wanted to access the online stuff, Nightfall and the Terminals so I resorted to using my phone's personal hotspot for internet connection. That's when the update came up. At first I thought okay and waited, and went out to buy groceries while waiting. And came back to "Updating...". I thought my phone's hotspot was not suitable for that kind of download so I wanted to cancel the update. But apparently, it cannot be cancelled. Just paused.

So now, I cannot play my game cos it needs to be updated. So I need to get a proper connection (which won't be anytime soon). So is there any way around this. Cos this is really ridiculous. I still want to play my game even if I don't have a connection.

I think we should skip the part about whether he needs to be punished or not. It was a bite, no conspiracy, no accident. Those who defend his bite is deluded.

Now, those who speak out against his punishment is understandable. As expected, he would be banned from football for a period of time but what angers Liverpool fans is he is banned from club football as well.

I can understand Liverpool's frustration. They had nothing to do with the incident but they will be greatly affected by the ban.

On the other hand, Suarez is banned from football. So why would club football be an exception ? It's like saying a murderer would be punished in a certain country but he is allowed to walk free in another.

I am on the fence with this topic. What are your thoughts ?

Since United's acquisition of Herrera and Shaw, I've been seeing some stats and figures pop up (I suspect from Chelsea or City fans), about how much United have been spending on Fellaini, Mata, Herrera and Shaw and more rumoured to be coming. And they claim that United's latest spending spree overtakes Chelsea and City's in this short period of time and shows numbers and figures to prove it.

But then another group of people (most probably United fans), comes out with another bunch of statistics showing no matter how much United have spent, it is still dwarfed by City and Chelsea's.

So can I get some actual stats here instead of numbers people make up.

And people are also saying that United spend their money from the money they generate from their success. But others are saying it is still a spending spree nonetheless.

So what do you think about United's transfer activities ?

When I hear prostitution, I always think sexual intercourse. So is paying for other sexual favours, like oral sex, still considered prostitution ?

And whether it is or not, is it legal in Singapore ? Because I know that Singapore is one of the few countries that makes prostitution illegal but something about brothels being illegal. Can someone shed some light on this please. Thanks for your answers.

Hello I am planning to go to New York for a holiday some time in the next 5 years. I have always wanted to go to Central Park and see the Statue of Liberty. However, honestly, if it wasn't for my religion, my only concern is money. But because I'm a Muslim, I need to find Halal certified eateries, which would be so hard since I am not familiar with New York at all. So do you know any halal eateries ?

My next concern is safety. For obvious reasons, New York and Muslims may not be the best of friends so I am just wondering if as a Muslim tourist, do I have anything to worry about ?

Now away from religious concerns, I plan to spend one whole day at Central Park, what can I do there for a day ? Or will it take more than a day to explore the park ?

Next is hotels, I'm pretty sure there are loads of hotels in Manhattan but in a perfect world, I would stay at a decent hotel, not too fancy. Near Central Park and near halal eateries and not too expensive. Of course, this is not a perfect world so I appreciate anything that comes closest.

Another concern is travel, what is the most convenient mode of transport. What are the average prices ?

Next are the tourist attraction. I'm not the kind who does a lot of shopping. I prefer just walking around and enjoying the sights, which is precisely why Central Park is top of my bucket list. But are there any other spots to go to ?

It is my dream to go to New York but it is just too unfamiliar to go there with full confidence

One of my cats is in labour RIGHT NOW and it is her first ever litter. My family have seen a few births before but all of that was from a cat who have given birth before. This one was just giving birth to her first kitten but my mom said she might not know how to push since she saw only the body of the kitten coming out and it was moving. The cat seemed to stop trying for a while and when the head did pop out later, the kitten was not moving or breathing and we assumed it was dead.

My mom is now worried that since this is the cat's first time, she might not know what to do and if she will clean her kittens up. Is there anything we can do to help the cat out ? Or what to do if the kittens are born but she won't clean them up ? We have already prepared a "nest" and hope she'll do the rest but it seems like she doesn't know how to.
