I bought this phone a month ago or so. It used to connect to the PC fine, but now when I connect it using the USB cable, it just charges. I don't know how to get the PC to open it up.

I tried USB debugging as I read that it could help, but it still does the same thing. I turned the phone off and on several times, connected and disconnected, but it only just charges itself.

Any tips? Why does this happen?

I was looking to buy one of those beds that are high, like a bunk bed, but have storage, and maybe a desk underneath, but don't know their name so can't do a proper search for them without being bombarded with normal bunk beds.

A riddle a friend gave me.

My guess was that if EVERYTHING was something, nothing comes under everything, and is therefore something, but I'm apparently wrong.

Any ideas?

The GCSE art topic is Force. I've chosen to focus on landscapes for this topic as I've already done portraiture and still life.

The problem is, I don't know how to relate nature to the theme without going into natural disasters. I'd want to do a landscape or a seascape, but in some way so that when I go and take photos or make observational drawings of places near me, I can link them in.

I was thinking of looking at the force of weather on the environment, but I think it's too late in the year to get anything besides rain... and it would be quite uncomfortable to go out then.

So how can I link the beauty of nature to "force"?

I feel low all the time for the past year or so for no apparent reason, and that makes me even sadder as I'm being ungrateful for all the great things I know I'm lucky to have. I find now that I find the company of most people, except a few close friends and any half decent male, very irritable. I find myself constantly thinking sexual thoughts about people I shouldn't, and that makes me feel even worse. I'm a Christian and I believe in God, and I can go to mass, but as soon as the congregation starts talking afterwards, I find myself getting so sick of them, even though I know they're really nice people. I feel like I just want to die, or to never have existed, that the car I'm in would just crash already and kill me quickly, and then I realise how selfish I am for thinking that and feel even worse yet. Sometimes I find myself just wanting to cry and cry and I can't understand why.

I read somewhere that the secret to happiness is compassion, but how can I sympathise with others if I can't even stand to make small talk with them? I really just wish to be happy, and I don't know how to get out of this rut...

I'm currently in year 11, and have to choose my A level subjects soon. I have 5 subjects that I'd like to take most, so I'm thinking whether to just do them all.

I'm getting all As and A*s right now in the subjects I'm doing for GCSE...

I'm really passionate about art, but it doesn't have much to do with my career path (probably medicine), so if I were to take it for A level, it would be just to study it. And maybe to have it as a fallback if medicine fails (with architecture).

Is it actually worth it doing 5 A levels though? Is the work load doable? Or is it just more worthwhile to do art as a hobby?

The thing is, if I drop art, I feel like I'll just stop doing it as I focus on my studies.

I'm in year 11 at the moment so will be doing my A-levels next year.

I've been told that Architecture will be a good career for me to aim for as I enjoy art and maths and am good at science.

Before making a final decision, I wanted to ask people who are taking architecture or are working as architects currently to pass on their opinion at who you think this job would be good for. Any other career suggestions are great too.

What A-levels do Oxbridge favour?

Would taking Art A-level not be a good choice?

What are the grades I need to get to realistically have a chance of getting in?

I'm doing GCSE art and I've already painted a final piece for my portraits unit, but I now need an artist to link in with my work that would have a similar style (so it would look like I've been influenced by them...).

My final piece is in acrylic, about 1m by 0.75m, has a natural landscape background, has a loose feel to it, with some brush marks still showing, but is quite realistic (not abstract). It has a little bit of fine detail too.

So I need to find a well known artist that paints like me, rather than the other way round. Someone a little like Lucian Freud, but not as messy.

I keep on dreaming that I am in an empty school later at night. It's not a school I've been to, just a school. I'm sometimes running down stairs, sometimes just trying to get somewhere. Nobody is usually with me, just one time with a teacher chasing me. Does it mean anything?

im really frustrated right now

i had to move high skl 4 times coz we moved house a lot, so iv only been at my current skl for about half a year. ppl never really want to be my friends and r generally avoiding me like a plague. take this morn, for example. we had assembly and were being lead in in lines and we sat in rows of seats. there were a few seats left next to me till the end of the row, but the girls after me in line just went and sat behind and someone said 'haha, they left nancy alone!' i just felt really miserable and rotten after that.

i really dunnu y ppl would be so hateful toward me that they would not want to sit next to me for 10 mins. im not that ugly. i try to keep gd hygein. im not really dumb. i try to keep convos going with ppl when they start talkin to me.

and now this one friend i had from 2 skls ago half admitted to me that she told me a big lie after i told her the whole truth about everything. and before when i texted saying that nobody liked me, she said that she kinda liked me, so i said not really and she just didnt reply, so i doubt shes actually friends with me at all, but maybe just pitying me.

i used to self harm for only a little bit but its pointless and doesnt solve anything

i just dont get it! im so angry with myself! i must be doing something wrong, coz everyone else seems to be fine.

i really did try hard to make friends. i went to after skl clubs that i was interested in, but hardly anyone from my yeargroup went, and when they did, they kinda avoided me...

when i try to sit in a table with anyone, sometimes theyd be like' oh srry, someones already sitting there, even tho sometimes, theyr not.

and on top of that, i keep on having crushes on teachers and i try to stop, but it always makes me even more depressed coz nothings ever gonna happen with a teacher, or most ppl for that matter...

im just really confused. am i mentally ill? what do i do

my sisters birthday is on the 17th of december and shes turning 19, but im really stuck on ideas for a birthday gift.

Iv ruled out giving her gift cards or money bcoz its a bit uncreative and she doesnt really accept it from me ( bcoz im younger than her) and i dont really wanna give her makeup/ jewelry/ clothes bcoz she never really likes it when ppl buy her these stuff bcoz theyr not her style or theyre too big or summing...

He's my ict teacher quiet young, about 20is 30 and im 14 and i only have him once or twice a week...

well, sometimes i find him just looking at me, especially when hes talkin to the whole clas, he just looks at me most i think. he says my work is 'pretty cool' even though its pretty basic to me. sometimes he just comes over when we finished the work to just have a normal convo with me and some other students. but then, when i see him outside the classroom, he kinda just ignores me completely

is he trying to flirt with me, or am i just making something out of nothing..?
