The bible obviously refers to both as being integral components of our salvation experience. Can we truly embrace both without giving undue deference to one at the expense of the other? How do these two factors impact our initial coming to faith, our perseverance in faith, and our security in salvation? What role does the Holy Spirit play in the interaction of these two factors?

A frequent refrain from the left is that the Republicans oppose President Obama because they are racists. The recent RLC straw poll had Ben Carson finishing second in the poll, just one percent behind Ted Cruz. This was a Tea Party convention no less. With two minority individuals at the top of a Tea Party poll, does that still mean that Republicans are racists?

Humanity is separated from God because of their ruined spiritual condition from birth. If nothing is done to change this state of separation, then this spiritual state continues on after death. That is what hell is - eternal separation from God.
God sent His Son into the world in order to give new spiritual life to men. Those who believe and receive it, are saved from this ruined condition and are restored into eternal fellowship with God. Those who do not believe and reject it remain in their separated condition.
Being that this is the case, is God in fact the rescuer of men from a certain doom, or does He actively send people to hell?

Isn't the quest for racial supremacy just an extension Darwinism where a group is attempting to gain a survival advantage? For example, non-blacks might make the case that their survival and well-being depends upon the elimination of blacks.
While we certainly are morally repulsed by such notions, what is the basis for this moral revulsion if there is no transcendent moral authority to which we are accountable? Isn't it just a collective decision to be nice to others, which could well crumble when adverse circumstances cause "being nice" to be disadvantageous to "our group"?

Is this the kind of "freedom FROM religion" that secularists claim our republic was founded upon. No, this isn't the First amendment, but it does give us insight into the framer's mindset.

Many young boys absolutely LOVE their mothers. So why does this not translate into heterosexual romantic attraction later in life when both are adults? Could it be that the cultural perception of such a practice has a way of influencing the development of one's desires and choices in this regard? And for those who appeal to nature, animals do engage in such things. So what makes matri-sexuality any different from homosexuality from a moral point of view? And how about this - the bible doesn't even say anything about it ! !
Those who would want to weigh in with ad hominem attacks should understand that their response will be understood as a statement of your intellectual vacuity.

Many atheists claim that the universe and matter were able to come into existence because energy has always existed. But if E = mc squared, then how can there be energy if there is no mass? And how can matter come from energy that is eternal if the energy requires atomic particles for it to exist. So in the end, either there had to be eternally existing atomic particles (matter), or an eternally existing immaterial God. How do you determine which of these two was the eternal factor from which our universe came, and how can you logically eliminate the other possibiltiy?

Gays have become like the proverbial camel who sticks its nose in the tent, only to eventually take over the tent. First they wanted acceptance. Then they wanted the right to marry. Now if a business refuses to take part in a gay wedding, they can be sued and forced to pay all the court costs. Is their next step to force us all to engage in gay sex against our will? As ridiculous as it sounds, it seems its headed that way. The new tolerance is in reality a new brand of tyranny.

of a wedding service provider to refuse to be a part of their wedding because of personal convictions? Many photographers, bakeries, florists, etc. have been sued because they politely refused to be a part of a gay wedding ceremony. Is tolerance only a one way street?
