Hi, I just got a my first benz and I've heard this noise ever since the test drive, its not loud but its like an undertone to the engine. as the engine increases rpm, the noise increases in pitch. Is it normal and could it be just transmission noise like every other car.

i have a '90 z32 and just out of curiosity I yanked on the seatbelt and it didnt catch. it doesnt catch for either driver and passenger. I tried yanking 2 fast consecutive times and it only catches on the second time. but that would be useless in a crash, right? what could be the problem? or do the cars come like that.
