Can I install tail lights from 2014 Nissan Maxima on my 2010 model?
I have a 2010 Nissan Maxima that I bought at an auction. Both tail lights are cracked, and I wanted to buy and install tail lights from a 2014 model that has better looking ones with clear lenses. Would I be able to install them or are the wiring harnesses for those two model years different? The reason I am asking is because I went on carparts.com looking for replacements, and I saw that the 14' model tail lights only fit the 12'-14' model years. I'm not sure what is so different about the tail lights that they won't fit the earlier models when they look exactly the same and have the same mounting locations on the black plastic part. It could have been a mistake on the seller's part, or not. That is why I am hoping someone can give me a definite answer before I buy tail lights that might not work on my car.
3 AnswersNissan1 month agoWhat is the cause of the clunking noise in my front passenger suspension?
I have a 2008 Infiniti G35. I recently lost control in the rain and drifted into a curb while my wheels were turned to the left.
What I have noticed about my suspension and steering:
My front passenger wheel became misaligned. Steering wheel is harder to turn at higher speeds (25+ mph). After conducting a harmless test in a nearby parking lot, I heard a clunking noise from front passenger area when making sharp left and right turns at low to medium speeds (10-20+ mph). I hear the same noise when driving over bumps and when pressing the breaks hard to transfer the vehicles weight to the front.
*In any situation, the clunking noise ONLY comes from the front passenger area*What I have done so far: I have replaced almost every component in my front passenger suspension with parts that are mostly used but in great condition (strut assembly, steering knuckle/spindle assembly, lower control arm, brand new outer tie rod, and I bought a new set of rims).I did NOT replace my sway bar link (it does have some play though), inner tie rod, or my upper control arm because it wasn't damaged after hitting the curb. What can be causing the clunking noise, based off of the test I conducted?*Note: Before answering, understand that I have already taken my car to a mechanic. The only thing they told me was that I had a bent strut and lower control arm, which I was already aware of. Waste of $105. They didn't tell me anything about the condition of my sway bar links or tie rods.*

I recently hit a curb, and the impact shifted my front passenger tire back (tire is closer to the fender than it was before). My steering got noticeably stiffer after hitting the curb. I checked power steering level, there are no leaks. Also, my front tires are now misaligned. Front passenger tire is toe-out like this: |-/
I need to turn steering wheel left to go straight. My question is, what could have bent after hitting the curb? Is it a lower control arm, upper control arm, tie rod, drive shaft, CV axle joint, etc.? I have lifted up my car many times to take a look underneath, I can't notice any visibly bent components. If somebody has had similar damage to my car, any answers or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Also, taking my car to a mechanic for diagnosis is out of the question as my money is limited.
Image is showing the underside of the front passenger lower control arm. You can see the the the part of the control arm that bolts on to the A-frame is crooked, that is the only thing I noticed when looking underneath my car.
