  • Bluetec owners: What is your real-world fuel economy?

Thinking of either an E sedan or an ML SUV in the future. I have both in gas versions now, but I'm wondering what kind of real-world fuel mileage I can expect. Thanks!!

  • Can I use my old Nikon SLR lenses with a new D-3000?

I have a Nikon FG with Nikon and Tamron lenses. All are manual focus. Can they be used with a D-3000? I realize they won't work with AutoFocus, but are there any other problems? I hate that I have thousands of dollars of lenses collecting dust. ;)

  • Did you see Jim Carrey on Letterman last night?

Did anyone else get the idea that if Carrey grew a scraggly beard, he could be a caveman in a Geico commercial?

  • Television license?

There was a question posted on the general site (it was viewable in the States) that asked if anyone had been able to get away with not paying for a television license. I have never heard of that. Could someone please explain the purpose, and what the funds raised are used for?

Americans would revolt again if there was a tax on television.

    Thanks!

  • For those that don't support the action in Iraq?

Can one of you please give me your plan for getting our troops safely out, securing the democratic government in Iraq, and for further prosecuting the war on terror? The best answer WILL get the points, but you have to answer the question. Name callers need not apply.

  • USB Drivers? Where can I update mine?

I have an older Toshiba notebook. Each time I plug in a USB device, I am told that I am using USB 1.1, and that my device(s) would run faster using USB 2.0. I have been to the Toshiba website, and have not been able to find a driver update. Any ideas?

  • Does anyone know the distance planes used to fly between England and Labrador?

Trans-contenental flights used to stop for refueling in Labrador. How far was this from England. Anyone have a website showing approximate flying distances?

  • Why, WHY, WHY!!!!!!!!!?

Why do people take the time to ask a question here that could be easily answered with a web search, and wouldn't waste anyone else's time, like this question is?
