    Hi there, me and partner and daughter have been in perth wa for 2 years now(457) and am thinking of applying for PR but have been told it will take 3 years and i must contract myself to my current employer for 3 years.I am looking for a job in the mines and dont think they will touch me without visa. Any ideas for my future? i am a car mechanic with svq level 3 certs and clean licence...thanks

  • when can i apply for permanent residency im on 457 visa?

    Hi there i am on a 457 visa as a motor mechanic and myself and partner have now got full time jobs. we are thinking of getting our PR but we dont know when you can apply and what we need to do.

    i have also had an accident at work and have been told to make a claim but i dont know if that would harm my chances, what can the compny do to stop my visas?

    we have been in the country one and a half years and want to make it home.
