I'm going to a course at a venue where I can connect to the internet if I take my own laptop. However, I've forgotten to bring my ethernet cable and have been told I need either an ethernet cable or network cable, so I want to see if I can buy one on the way to the venue. What is meant by a network cable?

I'm trying to choose a laptop in the £400-500 price range. I've been advised by a couple of people that Toshiba and Fujitsu-Siemens are the best brands, but several people have complained about poor battery life with Toshiba. It's a thin cotton top with a giant v-neck. There are little strings attached to each side of the v-neck at the top that I'm obviously supposed to tie... should it be a little bow across the top or should I just fold them over each other loosely? Nothing seems to look right!

The theme is jungles. I want something as simple as possible that won't involve spending too much money or making me look too stupid (I'd rather not wear any kind of hat).

I think it's such a shame that the tournament will either collapse or be a complete farce. I can see the point of view of the French clubs, in view of the over-crowded fixture list in World Cup year, but the English clubs are clearly just after money. It's really unfair on the Celtic clubs, though, who are going to be left with a half-empty fixture list and a huge hole in their bank balances. I wonder whether Heineken and Sky will still be waiting in 2008-2009.

I need a new Orange pay as ypu go phone and I can't decide what to get! The prices for these are £79.99, £59.99 and £44.99 respectively, but I'm not really sure what's good value for money.

E.g. if I buy a phone from Carphone Warehouse or Phones 4U, can I still register the phone with Orange and keep my number? And would I still be entitled to an upgrade reward?

I'm thinking about getting this phone on Orange pay as you go. It's on offer at Phones 4U for £69.99, which seems like a good deal. Anyone agree or disagree?

There's this guy I know at college that's become a good friend over the last couple of months. Trouble is, I've developed a crush on him and I don't think he feels the same way. I know he's single, but I don't think he's over his ex, as he talks about her a lot. He obviously likes me, but just as a friend, and I don't want to spoil our friendship by letting him know how I feel.

So the problem is, how do I get over these feelings while still seeing this guy every day and being his friend?
