When did “a colorless society” become a bad thing?
I was watching an interview with a black man who disagreed with the Liberal positions about issues concerning race. The rebuttal person, a black woman, responded that he was married to a white woman, wanted to be white, and wanted a colorless society. She said this as if it was a negative thing. Isn’t that what we should strive for, a society where color doesn’t matter at all? So when did Martin Luther Kong’s words, “not judged by the color of their skin” become a negative?
2 AnswersPolitics2 months agoWhat does it mean if relationships with others don't hold a lot of meaning for you?
I mean relationships in general just aren't that important in my life. I don't feel a need to seek my old friends out, etc.
2 AnswersSingles & Dating2 years agoIsn't it funny that Democrats are trying to take credit for the drop in oil prices, when they had nothing to do with it?
In fact, the primary drivers of the rise in US supply(which led to lower prices) were the increase in drilling and fracking, both of which were heavily opposed by the Democrats. The mocked the push for drilling("Drill, baby drill") and claimed that it would make no difference in prices. Private drilling rose 61% since 2009 while federal oild drilling fell 6%. Improved drilling techniques and fracking improved the yields of wells(and revitalized some older ones), and the Democrats were very much against both. So how can they claim any credit for something that is an effect of the very things they opposed?
16 AnswersPolitics6 years agoHow about we make the tax code simpler and eliminate loopholes at the same time?
First eliminate the differentiation of income source, wages, capital gains, stock gains are all one category INCOME. Next, below 1.5x the poverty level(~$35k for a family of 4), no taxes are owed, period. The lowest wage workers get the gross amount of their wages(increasing their available income). After that, taxes are collected on all income types and sources at 33%(average rate for all taxpayers in the range of over $35k). Maybe a standard deduction could be allowed. Also, that would be the entire code. Your tax form would basically be 6 lines: income total, standard deduction, income-deduction, result *0.33, payments, taxes-payments. Its a win-win the rich pay less(like they want) and the poor get more of the money they earn(helping them), plus the IRS could be shrunk.
5 AnswersPolitics7 years agoDo you think some of the difficulty is addressing racial issues comes from a differing perception of the level of racism present in society?
What I mean is it probable that whites perceive less racism than actually exists and some minorities see more than actually exists?
7 AnswersPolitics7 years agoObama's executive order was targets illegal aliens that have been here for 5 years, if they are "under the radar" how do they prove that?
Presumably if they had a paper trail, we would have caught them before now. So how do they prove they have been here long enough to qualify? And if they can't should we go ahead and deport them?
5 AnswersPolitics7 years agoDo Liberals want marijuana legalized so that more people will think that their policies make sense?
Or is it that it is easier to slip things past people who are distracted by how big their hands are or searching for the Doritos?
9 AnswersPolitics7 years agoSo Obama says if we don't like what he did, pass a bill. So will he sign a Republican bill that undoes everything he just put out ?
Seriously, if he gets a bill that makes it a full on criminal offense, denies ANY path to citizenship permanently, and calls for deportation of all illegal immigrants regardles of time spent here or economic contribution, will he sign it?
9 AnswersPolitics7 years agoCan we apply Obama's immigration order logic to other crimes?
Say I robbed a bank over 5 years ago, but I stayed around and spent the money here, having an economic impact. Should I be allowed to stay out of jail(the penalty for breaking the law) because it happened in the past and I had a good economic impact?
7 AnswersPolitics7 years agoDo Democrats realize we don't care what illegal aliens do while there here, or how long they have done it?
We only care that they BROKE THE LAW. They are by definition criminals, and should be treated as such. INS should be there in Vegas to deport the girl he talked about and arrest him for hiring an illegal alien.
7 AnswersPolitics7 years agoWhy do Democrats, even Obama, think Republicans want to break up illegal immigrant families through deportation?
We want to deport their brats right along with the rest of them. We want the WHOLE Illegal fam,ily sent back to where they came from. Glad I could clear that up for you.
8 AnswersPolitics7 years agoWhen will Obama secure the border?
Those filthy poutine eaters need to stay north of the border.
8 AnswersPolitics7 years agoWhy does the Left want illegal immigration, wouldn't the poor benefit from less competition for low-no skill jobs?
They don't work high skill jobs, they work low skill jobs. shouldn't those be occupied by poor Americans, rather than those who came here illegally?
11 AnswersPolitics7 years agoMy fellow Conservatives, how would an Obama executive order for amnestybe impeachable? Wouldn't it be a use of his powers to pardon?
I am not for an amnesty order, but I have seen people on here talking about impeaching Obama if he issues one. So if he used the words "pardon for their violations of immigration law", would an impeachment have a leg to stand on?
11 AnswersPolitics7 years agoDo these graphs show that the "voter suppression" line the Democrats used were lies just like we Republicans said all along?
The graphs show that the various minorities and age groups turned out in % comparable to the Presidential elction years(which average better turnout than midterms). Are Liberals still going to claim voter suppression, despite numbers not supporting that?
4 AnswersPolitics7 years agoDo the graphs on this site put the lie to the Democrats's diatribe that the Republicans are the "old men"?
http://fivethirtyeight.com/features/both-republica...
Thw first graphs shows that the Democrats in Congress are nearly 5 years old on average than the Republicans. In addition the oldest Senator at the Moment is Democrat Feinstein at 81. Out of the eldest 20, it isj 10R-9D-1I(or 10-10 if you count Sanders(I) as a Dem).
6 AnswersPolitics7 years agoDoes this put the lie to the Democrats' rants that the Republicans are the party of old men?

The only way she could prove it more wrong is if she was black.
