Terrible English I know! but what -aphone means Spanish speaking.

I'm using version 8.0.0.1 with windows XP. When I click sign in it takes for ever! I've tried waiting for several minutes and it just won't load properly. I've tried uninstalling it and then installing a new version. It first started playing up when I installed a new graphics card and memory. I have followed the instructions on the yahoo! help page about setting no proxy firewall or something like that! anyone that knows about these things, your help would be much appreciated

I have a real pet hate! People (especially English speakers) have a tendancy to refere to regional languages as dialects. this is especially prevalent when refering to languages from areas such as Asia Pacific and Sub-Saharan Africa where the Linguistic diversity can be very high! Geordie is a dialect of English, whereas Yoruba is certainly not a dialect of Hausa! or Illocano a dialect of Tagalog. I believe this mix-up began with the racist dis-regard shown by collonial powers for the ethnic diversities of 'their' colonies and for this reason, I find the mix up offensive! Anyone else agree with me, any fellow pedants out there?

I'm quite a hairy b"£$!rd, in fact my facial hair would go almost to my eyes if left to its own devices!!! I don't want to have to shave too high up my face because that would give me stubble on my cheeks, so can I pluck the hairs on my cheeks? or will that make them grow back more thick?

Any comments from beauticians or people that know what thery're talking about would be much appreciated.

It seems that the growth in Blogs and text messaging has led to a reduction in peoples' ability to use English correctly! Especially with regard to formulating arguments or expressing opinions. I'm realy convinced of this!!! Am I the only one?
