  • Is this a good thing? ?

I asked before about the compatibility of my 1 year 2 month male cat and my new 7 week old kitten.

They are doing fine now but the older cat is now licking the kitten. They play fight and the kitten squeals a little but not high pitched.

Does this mean my older cat has accepted the kitten?

    Thanks for any advice.

  • How do I stop my 1 year 2 month male cat biting my 6 week old male kitten? ?

OK my cat has had another older cat female around before and wanted to play with her. She was not one for playing.

I felt my cat needed company as he is a house cat and I thought it was a female kitten. My bad.

So far the older cat has now got used to the kitten, No hissing or anything. Just curiosity. He bops the kitten on the kitten on the head and sniffs him. It's gotten to chasing and the older cat will pin kitten down. Biting the kitten around the middle.

I'm using positive reinforcement via treats to the older cat when around the kitten and when he's good. And removal from the room when he bites the kitten.

Am I doing the right thing here? I don't want to have to give up on them. I care to much, but I would have to put my older cat first if things became really bad.

Any advice for behaviour would be greatly appreciated!

  • Has anyone ever seen a cat open a door inward?

My new kitten is 5 month and big. He's learnt that we open the front door by pulling the handle down. LOL But will he be able to also pull the door toward himself and actually escape? Or am I going to have to lock the door all time. LOL

    Thanks for any replies.

  • UK Car insurance law on third party stalling?

Ok, was in a car accident 3 months ago. was going onto a three pronged/t-junctioned roundabout and the car on the left pulled out and hit us. my insurance are telling me they can't defend me (i only have third party) until the third party insurance have given them a written statement. by the looks of things their client is refusing to write a written statement etc. the third party did send a witness statement about 3weeks ago to reply to but it was not for my accident. different location. so i don't think this is the insurance stalling. my question is does anyone know how long they can stall like this? the third party are trying to sue for injury as well and the guy gave a statement for that. claims we where going to fast and hit him on the white circle which i can prove wasn't the case as i have pics showing the glass is on the road. police attended as he flagged them down. he rang his mate to be witness and the police report shows dubious witness, flagged down and that they believe he didn't give way

  • Insurance investigation hasn't been sorted but being sued for injury?

Ok so was in an accident where a bloke pulled out of a roundabout to our left while we already on cause there was nothing to our right.

The insurance is still being sorted and investigating the incident.

Now he's got a no win no fee firm involved to sue my insurance for claimed whiplash injuries!

    Can he do that?

  • What on earth is going on here?

Ok. So, my husband had been asking my daughter about paypal and how it works. So she told him.

I had asked him what he wanted for his birthday and for some reason he mentioned going to London. (probably because I had been with my daughter and my daughter had taken my son, so he probably thought of it as we had been.)

He his big into model boating and he knows I don't like him spending money on it. I let him but when it comes to presents I'm not going to buy more boats (spend my cash too) when he already gets things for the hobby himself. I'd rather buy him something meaningful. So when he suggested London I was thrilled that he wanted to. Although I wasn't happy, I would do it for him. He knew I would spend/give him only £50 for modelling if he asked me outright for money for that.

So I spend the next few weeks planning it, as his birthday is three weeks away I needed to move fast to get cheap tickets and a room.

He doesn't once say he didn't want to go. In fact he was asking questions (all be it silly ones like. 'do they all wear suits?') and I really thought he wanted to go. I explained to him that it would be expensive and that it couldn't be done in one day. All he said was 'I just want to be able to say I seen it'. I explained a day ticket would be three/four times more expensive (live up north) than a 10.30 ticket but that would mean staying a night and leaving the next day, in order to be able to look around properly. He ask our son if he wanted to go but my son had been and wasn't interested.

I have a bad leg and so I said that I wanted to take the tour bus as they are fantastic and you get to see everything. And I said it would be expensive but worth it. He knows I can't walk far but started saying things like, 'We'll see, daughter says we can walk it'.

I got really nervous at this cause I got the feeling he would get me there then try save money by pulling me round London walking. And I think that's why he wanted our son to got so he could split the costs. So I got up the courage to tell him I really didn't want to go as I know it's a big place, but he reassured me he wanted to go.

So, I told him that morning that I was going into town to get the train tickets. He said nothing.

I got home and was happy 'I'd got cheapish tickets. £20 each/ each way. And told him this. Then I said I'd be booking the Hotel.

I had budgeted out of my money and put £150 away for the hotel into his account so I could pay.

I rang the nearest hotel to the Kingscross station and got a room for £171. I thought this was fairly good and as I couldn't walk far, thought it was the best thing. No breakfast but then we are talking the heart of England.

I stupidly told him and he went 'alight' at the price saying 'he wouldn't have wanted to go if he had know the price'. So I got my daughter to find a hotel £120 but further out and 20min walk from the tube. He 'gauwked' at that and said that he 'no longer wanted to go' and to 'go with your daughter'.

I never wanted to go in the first place but I was going to for him. I was paying for it all so I don't see his problem.

He then gets the card that I had put my £150 in and using my daughter and paypal, buys £130 worth of modelling gear. He then threw the money in cash (£150 that I had put into his account) at me saying it was for the hotel but I get the feeling it was taken from the gas bill money so I refused at first. I know he will get paid soon so he could make it back up so I eventually accepted it.

I put all the money back in the bank.

I feel fo frustrated, I really don't know why he's done this. I couldn't get a refund so I've given the tickets to my daughter so she can take her fiance as he has never been and wants to go, rather than waste them and I'd feel bad for my daughter and fiance since they do want to go.

My daughter said it was too soon and so paid extra to change the tickets for a later date. She even got a hotel room in the heart of the city next to the eye and isn't bothered that it will cost £135 a night cause she knows it's worth it.

  • O2 Lend a pound thing?

ok so needed to call a doc out so did the lend a pound thing. I can't afford to top up before the 7 days that they give you to repay and it says if you can't/don't manage it there will be a one -off surcharge of 25p

So does this mean that when I top up next time they charge me the £1.00 plus the 25p?

  • Will they postpone my surgery?

    Hi all,

I live in England and will be having an exploratory Laparoscopy in two days.

I have had a pain in my throat which hurts when I swallow. I've had it about four days and thought I'd eat a crisp that had hurt it. It's more painful on a night and now my whole throat is sore (only noticed that tonight)

I'm now worried they'll postpone the op. My temp is a little high as was my blood pressure but not excessively so and so again didn't think anything at the time.

Will this be any reason to not do the operation?

    2 AnswersOther - Diseases1 decade ago
  • To have a baby or not?

Ok, so I'm in England and a career for my mum who had an operation go wrong (told the surgeon not to touch her tendon and he's done full open surgery and now it won't bend) so this means I'm on income support and career's from the gov to look after her.

My fiance is on my claim as you have to claim as a couple. It's a good job as he isn't fit anyway. He's been in the army and came back with a dislocating-relocating shoulder and an ankle injury which he will be having surgery on in the next year or so.

Ok, So I'm 30 now... didn't meet my man till I was 27 and so have waited to see how we get on.... We do and have been living together for 6 months without a problem.

So, being that as may and the fact that we are on state benefits (so I can look after my mum) and I know I'm going to be called a scrounger by some simple because I do get benefits I am looking at my options.

I am a diabetic type 1 so I will have to look after myself and time is ticking I look at the economy and think OMG! I have worked and so know what thinks are like.

Do people think I should go for broke and have a child or say... no, not on the money and forget it?

    Thanks for your opinions.

  • Would you tell social services?

    Hi all moral dilemma...

I have this friend who's having a few problem's. She drinks and parties and gets others to look after her 3 children but that isn't the problem. The father has been pretty useless... but she has managed up till now.

This friend has recently started going out with a guy in his early twenties. He gets pocket money from his mum as a wage but my concern is he moved in after 3 days and she has three young children. He has a 2 month old in another town and was 'too scared' to go see him. My friend had a party and his child was ill but in the capable hands of a hospital. He decided to slit his wrists as no one was paying him any attention. He has also taken the children out of bed when they were clearly asleep to go be with they mum in her room. He has also done this without her being home. He does nothing in the house and doesn't encourage her to do even the basics like get shopping in. He decided to go McDonald's instead.

The father knows about this but wants to be sure she wants to keep them.

My concern is that if he is doing this there maybe more, maybe not.

  • Should I appeal for this parking ticket?

My mum is disabled and I parked on a road with double yellow lines and put the blue badge out as per usual. Apparently there was a "no loading at anytime" in force but you wouldn't know that unless you knew what the two yellow lines were that ran up the side of the curb as there where no signs anywhere stating "no loading".

I got back to my car to discover the ticket and so looked for all the signs in the area. The only other signs where the two not empty disabled bays across the over side of the road.

What gets me is the fact that the disabled bays also have the "no loading at anytime" bars running up their edges too!

Should I appeal the fine and do you think it would be over turned?

  • Where's the best/worst places to buy this netbook?

Ok, I'm after buying an ASUS eeepc 1005HA Seashell Net-book. The one with the faster processor of N280. I live in England, UK.

I've been in the local shops. PC world and Curry's but they don't have it. Pc world have the N270 but I want the faster one.

Does anyone know a reputable company to get this from. Any places I should avoid like the plague? LOL

Thanks in advance for any info.

  • How many months should you have to pay for if you took a mobile contract over?

My fiance has a 3 contract UK with broadband dongle (with laptop) which was bought for him by his godfather as a present, around this time (June). He agreed to take over the contract around december and I'm wondering if he has to pay for the full 18 months from the time he agreed to take it over as they are claiming.

His godfather signed the contract but when he took it over he did it over the phone with them and so didn't sign anything.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
