  • Is there an Icelander around here?

I'll be in Iceland end of August - with almost nothing to do for 5 days. I really would like to go north and/or east, as I would have spent enough time in Reykjavik and the south by this time. But I'm going alone, on a tight budget, and cannot find a tour that meets these limitations. Any advice, straight from an authentic Icelander?

  • Would you go on a Chocolate Adventure?

    Please check this out: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/new...

Would you go hunt for the Choco-Landfill?

Would you dare dodge traces of Salmonella?

Is anyone this desperate for chocolate?

Am I in the correct question category?

  • Do you see yourself living on another planet? How?

IF we had the technology and funds to set up colonies elsewhere within our Solar System - assuming it were possible for us to build the necessary structures that would protect and sustain life, without altering the environment of that planet - where would you go? Please describe how you envision that to be, e.g., Venus would still be fiery hot, but we'll have interconnected enclosures that could keep us safe, and allow dwelling, gardening, businesses, etc. Or would you rather do something to ensure survival on Earth?

  • Just 1 picture for each blog?

Why can't I upload as many JPEG images as I want on my 360° blog? Without lumping them together into one image, that is. I don't need to show an infinite number of them, but some entries would be nicer with SOME decent-sized pictures...

  • What's your personal vote on the Pluto issue? Why?

Pluto's planethood is in question and the IAU will give the final word on its status next month. One thing is certain, we won't have the same number of planets in our solar system. If Pluto is demoted to the Kuiper belt, we'll have 8. If it maintains its status, bigger 2003 UB313 will likewise be considered a planet, making it 10. What are your views?

  • Does milk lose ist health benefits when added into coffee?

I do research (not on nutrition, that’s why I’m asking this here) in a place where everyone trudges like a zombie to the lounge everytime the coffeemaker is just about finished with its job and spreading the irresistible aroma. Obviously, I suffer from the same hypnosis – being led to fresh coffee by the nose...

Coffee and tea have been proven to reduce calcium absorption in the body, while milk provides the cure for the deficiency. Does it count when I pour lots of whole milk into my coffee, or does anyone have any expert advice to the contrary? So far, I haven’t found scientific proof that caffeine within the same mixture reverses the good effects of milk, but maybe you have. Thanks!

  • Should I just call off the engagement?

I've known my fiance for a few years now, he's not perfect but I know him well enough and love him. I've met his family as well, but it's only recently, at a time of crisis, that they've shown their nasty side - and I'm sure I won't be happy having them for a family. My fiance promises to prioritize our relationship but still lets them affect him immensely. Any advice?
