Scientists like Stephen Hawking urged us to leave this planet because it's becoming too polluted and crowded for humans.

Still, if the problem is that humans don't know how to take care of the planet, this won't be solved by colonizing new worlds.

Also, I don't think that the Earth is overcrowded considering there would be enough room for all of us in the Manhattan Island.

Don't you think it is too expensive and dangerous for humans to leave Earth? Besides, if we planned to live comfortably on Mars or the Moon, we'd first need to terraform these worlds.

I'm a single 30 y.o. female that dislikes both children and men.

Most of the men I met either had eccentric personalities or took advantage of me in the form of favors or money. They would also cheat on me. Therefore, I don't like them.

As for children, I think that they're selfish, lack empathy and are annoying. I'm an introvert that likes to spend time on her own. This is not possible with children since they demand your attention.

Therefore, I'll likely live and die alone.

Is my life doomed because of that?

It's well known many of us are violent, greedy and primitive. There's a high chance we'll destroy each other in the near future if technology continues to improve at the expense of our brains.

Do you think we should invest in research to improve the human nature and save ourselves from self-destruction?

I've been thinking about how could we improve online translators.

For example, it would be great if we could see the meaning of a word in a text by just placing the cursor on it.

Online translators are still very bad at detecting grammar or syntax mistakes.  They just correct vocabulary and/or spelling errors.

Any other ideas?

If we can measure things like force or mass, would it be feasible to do the same with emotions such as anger, happiness, sadness...?

Do people that suffer from a certain mental disease (e.g., depression, anxiety...) have unique ways to convey their thoughts? Do they talk more often about certain topics? Is their writing style different?

If you had a budget of $1 billion for a 'Venus project', how and what would you use it for?

Would you focus on exploring its climate, soil composition, traces of life, geology...? Would you send an orbiter, a lander...?

In the city where I live, at least two people died on the street due to the cold temperatures of this winter.

I am aware that many of these people likely suffer from mental conditions and addictions.

In some cases, they might have chosen to live in these conditions, because they don't want to integrate into society.

My questions are: do you think these people can be helped? Are they employable? Should they be given shelter and food?

I'm not a very social person. In fact, I only have 2-3 friends. I think that this could be a problem considering that friends may help you if you're in trouble.

Do you think it would be a good idea to create an account on Tinder or a similar App to meet people and (eventually) become friends with them?

The thing is that I need undershirts and there's a Chinese bazaar next to home.

I'd like to go there and buy some, the thing is that the staff is barely fluent in the local language and the store is huge. They don't seem too friendly either... (basically, you have to serve yourself).

I don't know how to ask them i) where to find that type of underwear within the store, and ii) how to ask them about its size, fabric...

I know this sounds stupid but I'm terribly shy. I'm convinced they won't understand me and that I'll make a fool of myself.

There are three guys from my town aged from 35 to 65 that work and like to spend a lot of time together.

The thing is that not only do they define themselves as 'straight as an arrow' but they're are also somewhat homophobic (they crack jokes about gays all the time) and like to act macho.

What surprises me is that this clique of "macho men" do the following:

-They work together for more than 6 hours per day, and stay together when it's time to take a break.

-In spite of the COVID-19 pandemic, they drink beer, smoke and stay close to one another while they chat (with no masks).

-They touch each other (which includes hugging and patting on the back and shoulders).

-They talk about everything, including private thoughts and feelings that not even their female partners are aware of.

-They also meet when it's a holiday, leaving their wives alone. This means they prefer to hang out with their male friends than with their female partner.

Are these guys really straight or their attitude is just a facade?

My apartment is located on the 2ond floor of 4 blocks of flats. On the 4th floor there's an Indian or Pakistani family (judging by the way they dress and their looks). The father is rarely at home, and the mother lives with three kids.

The thing is that the mother doesn't put them to bed until 4 am in the morning  (I hear them playing until then, and they're very loud). Another neighbor told me the kids don't get up until 1 pm and rarely go to school.

Do you know if this is a cultural thing or is that family clearly dysfunctional (or is the mother mentally ill?).

As adults, people like Rachel Dolezal claim to be a race that's different from the one they were at birth.

The thing is that many of them often contradict themselves and change their "racial claims" over time.

That is the case of Jessica A. Krug, who first claimed to be a mix of German and Algerian, then Afro-Puerto Rican. She was born to white parents.

These people usually wear wigs and spray tans to fake their biological race.

What do you think, would you respect their choice and treat them as a person of the race they claim to be? Are these people delusional and/or self-loathers? Should everyone be allowed to change their race?

Is it a typical dance from your country or region? At what age did you learn it? Do you still dance it or forgot it long ago? Do you like it, or think it is old-fashioned?

I'd like to take profit of the many hours I've spent in the gym in the past three years, and I thought that earning a certificate as a Zumba instructor could be a good idea.

I'm worried about the prices because I'm poor. I've read that the first course (Basic 1) costs about $270 and that you can do it online.

Do you have more info on these courses? Does it take very long to become a certified Zumba instructor? Do you need dancing skills (I haven't any...) or to be an athlete?

I spoke with a U.S. American and he told me that in the U.S., Chinese food is served hot. Then a French chick told me that in France it is served cold.

Another American asked a man from Fujian if in their homeland they ate any of the dishes they cook in their Chinese restaurant in NYC, and his reply was negative.

This makes me think that the dishes they prepare in Chinese restaurants i) differ from one country to another, and ii) have little or nothing to do with traditional Chinese food.

Am I wrong?

...and treat you as a piece of sh*t when things go wrong? My parents, relatives and former bosses were like that. It makes me hate everything and everyone.

What's wrong with these people? Can't you understand that nobody is perfect, and that it is wrong to dehumanize somebody just because they didn't meet your standards?

I find it much easier to connect with people who are significantly older than me. I'm somewhat scared of people my age or younger, especially if they're teenagers. Many of them come across as obnoxious and b*tchy.

People my age usually have motivations or talk about issues I'm not interested in. It's as if we're not on the same wavelength. I also find older, mature people to be more respectful and empathetic.

This was the main plot of some sci-fi movies like Contact: mankind finds evidence of an advanced E.T. civilization, so they manage to send an astronaut to meet them and ask them whether they have found evidence that there's a Creator.

I personally think there are 1000000000000000000000 far more interesting questions I've asked them before the one about God.

I learned that he was born in Casablanca (Morocco) to Spanish parents, and that they moved to France when he was 17.

He has lived and worked in France since then. From what I've read, he seldom speaks Spanish, yet some Spanish people insist on the fact he's 100% Spanish.
