  • Best wireless night-vision camera to buy to monitor a loft space?

We have something living in our roof :( unfortunately, it's not easily accessible and so far, many pest controllers have refused to come out to us as it would involve either removing part of the ceiling or a long haul up on the roof (health and safety restrictions rule this one out apparently!)

I'm intrigued as to what is living up there to see if we can eliminate it ourselves before taking the step of removing the ceiling and someone suggested a night vision camera.

The problem is - I'm not great with technology so it needs to be something fairly simple to use. It also needs to be small enough to put up through the hole where the light fitting is (about 3 inches in diameter).

If anyone out there has any suggestions or recommendations for products they have used, it will be most appreciated.

    Many thanks in advance!

  • Where is the best place to stay in Sicily?

    Hi,

Myself and my partner are hoping to visit Sicily in late September/early October for a week and would like some recommendations on the best place to stay/visit etc.

We would really like to do a trip to Mt. Etna but want to stay in a place which has nice restaurants and maybe a beach and nice places to walk around but not too 'touristy'.

Any suggestions for places/hotels/areas to stay are greatly appreciated!

    Thanks.

  • Driving holiday in Italy.........?

Hi, I'd really like to visit Italy this year - it's a place I've never visited and it looks amazing! My problem is - I just can't decide where in Italy to go, I want to see the whole country! I'm looking into hiring a car and driving North to South but will 10 days be enough? And can anyone recommend any towns/cities that I really shouldn't miss?

    Many Thanks, Gemma

  • Will I be entitled to my Holiday Pay?

I intend to give my 4 weeks notice at my place of work on Tuesday 12th April, meaning my employment will cease on Tuesday 10th May. As our financial calendar runs from April to April, does anyone know if I will be entitled to my Holiday Pay for next year (April 2011 - April 2012) or will I forfeit this as I'm handing in my notice for this year? Very confused about all this! Appreciate any help given!

  • Ideas for weekend breaks in England?

I really want to take my boyfriend away for his birthday but my knowledge of areas of England are shocking considering I am English!!

    A bit more info........

He lives in Croydon and we can only go from Friday night to Sunday morning so it needs to be within about an hours drive away from the South London area.

He loves architecture so I'm hoping to incorporate this.

    He also loves science/history museums.

We both love good food and wandering aimlessly around areas!!

If anyone has any recommendations or ideas, I'd really appreciate it.

    Thank you in advance!

P.s I know he's really near Central London, so it would make sense to just go there, but I'd really like to go somewhere a bit different for once!

  • Retro Arcade games for xbox?

Could anyone recommend (or even tell me if you can get!) retro arcade games for xbox? I'm looking for something for my sisters boyfriend for xmas and he loves stuff like pac man and space invaders but I'm really struggling to find anything. I've seen one game for xbox 360 that has different versions of pac man on but I think you can only play it on live?? I'm a total dunce with computer games so if anyone could point me in the right direction, I'd really appreciate it!

  • Anyone used ImToo Video Converter?

I've bought and downloaded this software today but you have to enter a license code which they send you via email. I copied and pasted the license code but it just keeps telling me it's invalid and I can't figure out why. I made sure I bought the one for windows not mac and I've tried emailing ImToo but have not yet had a response. Just wondered if anyone else has used this software and if they had any similar problems?? Thanks.

  • Fence issues with neighbouring property?

Hi guys, hopefully someone can help!

I've just had a call from one of my tenants who rents a semi detached from me. Basically the couple at the adjoining semi own 5 boxer dogs that they keep in a kennel in the back garden. The problem is that whenever my tenants go outside or even put the lights on in the kitchen - the dogs go crazy barking and a few of the other neighbours have complained to the local council (Derbyshire) about noise pollution.

So, the couple that own the dogs have been to see my tenants and asked them to ask me to put a fence up so that the dogs can't see into my tenants garden. Now, we're talking a 120 foot garden here!! That's a lot of fence and I don't think it's mine - or my tenants - responsibility, but I'm not sure if there are laws about this?

The boundary in question is on the left hand side of the garden as you're looking away from the house and at the moment it's like a green wire mesh that seperates the 2 gardens.

Does anyone have any idea where I stand on this?

Thanks in advance for any helpful answers I get!

  • Private Landlord Registration UK?

The recent news on this has been so unhelpful! Does anyone know if it is yet a legal requirement to register? If so, where do you register? And what does registration involve? Thanks.

  • Can anyone help with the name of this "retro" toy?

It was a bouncy ball about the size of a Basketball with a hard ring going round it - it looked a bit like a miniature Saturn! Basically you had to stand on the ring and bounce, trying to keep your balance. Me and my sister both had one in the late 80's, early 90's and it's driving us crazy trying to remember what they're called! Any help please?!

  • Does anyone know a hairstyle website?

I'm sure I heard years ago that there is a website you can upload your picture onto and try out different hairstyles/colours on yourself, has anyone heard of this? I'm not sure if I just imagined it or if it is a real thing?!

  • Can anyone help with the name of this film...........?

This is a long shot - about 7-10 years ago I watched a film on TV a couple of times, I don't know if it was ever a cinema release or a straight to TV.

The main girl (a fairly recognisable actress whose name I can't remember) is seeing the high school hot guy but her parents are really strict and she's not allowed out late so he goes off with her best friend. The main girl then starts seeing the local mechanic who is a bit rough round the edges and her parents stop her seeing him too so between them they kill her parents while they sleep. She then frames the mechanic guy for her parents murder and acts like he was stalking her and he's arrested. I don't really remember much of the rest of it but I know at the end she's in a car with the high school hot guy and she tells him that it was her who killed her parents and she did it so they could be together - what she doesn't know is that he's wired and police are surrounding the car.

I've tried googling this and imdb - so far nothing! Any help would be appreciated......
