well, i suppose i ought to write some stuff here as, strangely, i seem to be accumulating some fans. basically, i'm the biggest nobody in the world, but i've got a good brain and i like to exercise it here. one day, i'd like you to be able to read my name on the front page of every newspaper in the country, right next to the words "elected prime minister of Great Britian", or the back pages next to the words "English football's latest superstar", but neither is likely. I'll try and help anyone wit anything and i hope i ask some intelligent questions and give some humourous answers. I generally hang around the sports section and the society and culture section, so see you there.

  • Changing files from Read-Only. Why can't i do it when i'm an administrator?

So i've got some files i'm trying to edit but it won't work because they are read only, so i go into properties, uncheck read-only, hit apply and then a dialogue box appears saying that i must provide administrator permission. I'm the computer's administrator (mine is the only account on the computer) so i just hit continue and then the computer informs me that it is applying the changes. when it is done, i go back to properties and read-only is checked again. What's hapenin?

  • Do Ipods play .wma tracks?

Excuse me, no need to read this, I've just been having trouble wit yahoo recently, they seem to think that asking where i can get microsoft office 2003 is soliciting illegal advice so i'm just putting in a little disclaimer type thing...

please note: i am not soliciting illegal advice about software, i am simply asking if an Ipod will play wma files. the end

  • UCAS points for a BTEC National Diploma. Help!!?

anyone know where to find a copy the table that converts your national diploma grades into points (6 points for every unit you pass, 12 points for every merited unit and 18 points for every distinction) which you then add up and that number gives you your overall grade, which you then convert into UCAS points, for example:

    ??? points = MMM = 240 UCAS points.

does anyone know what the missing values are?

or do you know the missing values from this one:

    192 points = ??? = ??? UCAS points

    helpme plz

  • To all the people who ask why we think Scientology is stupid...?

... check out this answer from a Scientologist to a question about "what are the beliefs of Scientology?"

"Shh, it's a secret. You can know nothing until you're designated OT I. Why don't you take a free stress test? You can't know your thetan levels without a free stress test!

    - lifelong Scientologist

edit: Hey Manganese, I know you were knocked down to OT VII, so I'll give you a little tip. Don't tell these internet losers anything secret about our amazing religion, and I won't kick you back to OT IV.

    - designated OT XV"

and now look me in the eye (well you know what i mean) and tell me that that isn't the saddest thing you've ever seen, it's like a cross between the masons and some kids competing for high score on a computer game.

  • Best Football (soccer) Derby Games In Europe?

The Derby you feel is the best?

for me it's the Old Firm (Celtic Vs Rangers) or the Steel City Derby (Sheffield Wednesday Vs Sheffield United), which would be awesome if both could get to the Premiership and could play the derby at that level

  • Will you support my bid to become Prime Minister??

lets face it, English politics is going to the dogs.

gordon brown is failing and david cameron promises us all a jolly good time and strawberries with cream for desert but he would just chain us up in dungeons and put us in workhouses to work for him.

the lib dems have disappeared and nobody who is sane would vote for the BNP.

so here i am, a complete unknown with no fancy degrees and no money but a shed load of valuable life experience, plus i dont lie. well... not much anyway.

    vote for me!!

  • Why are we praised?

why is it that being tall id treated as an acheivement?

i am somewhere between 6 foot and 6 foot 2 and people comment on how tall i am as though i have some control over it and i have done well to grow so tall.

i have noticed the same goes for when people win money, like on the lottery, it is regarded as an acheivement, why? they didn't do anything they just put a quid on the counter and picked six numbers.

  • What are you scared of?

what is it that stops atheists from accepting religion, which is more often than not a force for good?

    is it the rules?

is it that you have to believe in a higher power, who can see your soul and knows all?

    what is it?

  • Does Atheism...?

    Stunt your education?

people have asked the same thing about religion, but actually religion enables you think outside the box.

whereas Atheists are limited. narrow. close-minded. so...
