  • Canon 20-35mm f/2.8 L?

What's your opinion on the Canon 20-35mm f/2.8 L on a Canon 7D Mark II (1.6 crop sensor)?

I was debating between the 35mm and 50mm but thinking the 20-35 on a 1.6 sensor will cover both focal length.

The lens will mainly be used for group photos, everyday thing, and taking pictures at events such as gathering, vacations to the beach, amusement park, aquariums, zoo, etc.

My other lens is the 70-200mm 2.8 IS and mainly used for sports.

  • Rent a house with no income?

I was a North Carolina Special Ed HS teacher and I just resigned to moved to the Sacramento area. I arrived in Sac for 3 days now and am looking for a house to rent. I just received an email saying that if I have no income at the moment then I cannot rent the house I was looking at. I was told that for me to qualified I must have a ridiculous amount of $50,000 in my account to qualify.

Is there any way for me to rent with no current income? I've been in town for only 3 days and still trying to get my NC Teaching license to transfer over.

  • Dropped Lens?

Everything see,s to work fine. I don't see any physical damage since it was in a bag when I dropped it. But whenever I autofocus, I can hear the motor running now. It will run every time I'm holding the autofocus and will stop about a second later after I release the autofocus. Autofocus still runs fast as usual.

  • Suggestion on Nikon Camera and Lens.?

    I have a Nikon D3200 with a kit lens and a 55-300mm f/4.5-5.6 VR.

I am a soccer coach and I mainly shoot high school soccer and some indoor sports. I want a camera and lens that is good for outdoor and indoor sports (low lighting).

I was thinking I should get a Nikon 35mm f/1.8 AF-S (around $200 new or 150 used) for pictures in the gym. Maybe save up for a Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 VRII (around $2300 new or $1800 used) for outdoor low light soccer.

    OR

Upgrade my camer to a D7000 (body only $700 new or $450 used) or D7100 ($1000 new or $750 used) and buy the older Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 VR for outdoor sports.

Which option is the better choice for the future? Better for indoor and outdoor sports?

  • Basketball tournament?

Asian loves basketball but can't compete with other race due to height.

How can I create a basketball tournament without discriminating race and keep the level of play low? If it's an open tournament...a tall white/black guy can come and out play everyone...as a result, lots of the Asians will not come out anymore. The Asian in my community are average to be around 5'6" or 5'7". If you're 5'10" you're super tall. Out of the many thousands of Asians I know....I personally only know less than 5...who are 6' or taller.

    As of now...

Idea 1- only for players who never played college to hs ball

Idea 2- two leagues (split the level of play)

--league 1 wins a bigger trophy

--league 2 wins a smaller trophy

  • Pro Evo Soccer 2014 (manager mode)?

How is the manager mode? I have PES 13 and I didn't like it bc it's impossible for me to buy some players. It's not realistic like FIFA 13 where you can up the cash or do a player plus cash deal.

For some reason I can't play FIFA on my system anymore so I'm stuck with PES.

  • Nike Vapor problem....?

    Do anyone have this problem??

I bought a youth size 4.5 and it fits well. After a few months, the cleat is so tight on me.

I up to a men's size 6 which is same for the youth size 5. It fits well at first and now it's a little tight at my toes.

I just bought a men's size 6.5 and feel like its too big on me. Will probably keep it and hope for it to shrink.

These are the real vapors except for the youth vapor. I am not growing anymore so my feet is not getting bigger. It's the same size.

  • Real or just a dream?

I am Hmong (Asian). Many Hmong people has been having a particular dream and I had it a few years ago. This dream we called it "Squished by a Ghost." -that's the translation to English.

This was probably 2-3 years ago when I was still in college living in the dorms. In my dream, I was lying down on my bed, awake. I can't move at all, I can't talk or make a sound. I was just lying there on my side (facing the room, bed is against the wall). I am able to see the room though and I see a either a dark figure or a shadow moving around the room. I try to scream for help, I try to move but it is impossible to do anything, pretty much paralyzed. Some Hmong people believe that it is something real that really happened. For me, I believe that I was dreaming.

A few months ago, I had another similar dream. I graduated college over a year ago and is now at home. Same thing happened, I was paralyzed and can't move or make a sound. I can't remember if I saw any dark figure or shadow. I fought with everything I got to move and scream for help. I was able to make the slightest faintest sound when I try screaming "HELP ME!" I was slowly able to make my way to the bedroom door (can't remember if the door was opened or I opened it). I got to the hallway, lean my back on the wall, and tried screaming for help. I also was trying to pound the wall to make any kind of noise. I can't remember anything after that. Woke up in my bed.

Again, this is a dream that many Hmong people experienced.

Just a background information- Most Hmong people are Shamanism- the belief of spirits.

For me, my parents goes to church. I use to go. Now I don't go anymore. I don't have a particular belief.

  • Fifa 13 keep freezing.?

For some reason my FIFA 12 game on my PS3 started freezing every few seconds when I play it. I thought that I scratched it or something b/c my FIFA 11 is fine. I just bought FIFA 13 and it's freezing also like my FIFA 12.

I will play a scrimmage against my brother. Game freeze for a split second, then continue. In a few seconds, it freezes for a split second again and then it continue, repeat. It really frustrates me b/c sometimes I will press "pass" when it freezes, and when it unfreeze the player doesn't make the pass so I have to press "pass" again. Is it something about my PS3 or something? All the other games I player works just fine.

  • Lateral Entry to Teaching EC?

So I have a Bachelor Degree in Physical Education. I was asked if I am interested in Lateral Entry in teaching EC b/c an EC teacher just resigned (I am currently unemployed at the moment but am substituting around the county).

How exactly do this process work? I understand that I have to take the Praxis II exam(s). What else?

If I do get the position, I have to take classes to become certified or licensed in this course of study, right?

    Thank You,

  • Education Jobs (hiring process) I don't understand why I was not hired.?

I am Hmong (Asian) with a bachelor degree in physical education and has been applying for jobs around my area for over a year now (North Carolina, USA). In my county, there are four high schools, each with over 1000 students and over 30 Hmong students in each of those school with even more at the middle and elementary school level.

Currently, I am the junior varsity soccer coach at EBHS while unemployed (going on my second year). Half the team are Hmong players. I got this job bc the Varsity coach is new to coaching soccer and I played college soccer. He also believe that I can connect with the Hmong players better.

EBHS had two Physical Education positions opened this summer but they gave it to two football coaches. Now I am looking for a TA position at EBHS and I might not get it. I had also applied for PE positions at DHS and FHS in the county and did not get it. Also applied at a few elementary schools in this are.

Wouldn't it make sense for the schools to hire a Hmong teachers when there are so many Hmong students in the county? There are around 20,000 Hmong in North Carolina, the majority, maybe 95% of them live in the county I live in and the surrounding counties. Again, EBHS have over 30 Hmong students in the school. I graduated from EBHS. I was a good student who never got in trouble and made good grades, 3.5gpa. During my time in hs I received the Cavalier Award (soccer), Team Leadership (soccer), Director's Award (Choir), and made honor roll a few times. If you're a principal, would you hire a Hmong teacher or not?

Excuse my grammar. Writing, spelling, and vocabulary has always been my weak subject.
