  • Do you still see a Mayweather/Khan fight happening?

Good to be back on this forum after a long time.

Khan has become a smarter fighter..as we've seen in the past few fights...he's faster and taller and with Mayweather having no legit power to ko Khan....this is an intriguing fight.

  • Pacquiao Refuses To Engage Mayweather in Verbal War?

Manny Pacquiao has refused to take the bait. For several days, on the social networks, WBC welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. has been taking shots at the Filipino star with photos and reminding Pacquiao of his tax troubles and the 2012 knockout loss to Juan Manuel Marquez.

“I’m thanking Floyd Mayweather that he has not forgotten me. I’m glad that he is still thinking of me,” Pacquiao told the Inquirer.

Christmas reminds us of God’s greatest love for us. He teaches us to love even our enemies. So, I won’t say anything that would hurt anybody,” Pacquiao said.

  • Has Arum ever said 'NO' to the negotiation over Floyd-Pacquaio?

Arum has ALWAYS been open to negotiation for fight of the century.

There are always roadblocks being put by Mayweather or Schaefer..that prevent this fight from happening. Top Rank and Manny are practically begging for a fight to happen since 2010-11..given Pacquiao's standing Yet.. Mayweather and Schaefer refuse to entertain the idea of a mega fight. So..who is to blame here?

The people want to see this fight happen. Manny and Top Rank keep making concessions for Mayweather...in order to get the fight made. Yet, no progress. This fight will not happen. I am curious what the next batch of excuses from Schaefer and Mayweather will be.

On the bright side....let's not forget that Floyd is loyal to nobody but himself...He could very well push Golden Boy aside and temporarily partner with Top Rank to make a fight or two. Remember that nobody saw the switch to Showtime coming

  • Rios vs Broner..who wins?

i think Rios is gonna win

    Broner can't handle intense pressure.

he was exposed as a Haymon promoted fraud....Anyway, unless the Maidana fight was a fluke (which is highly doubtful)...Broner has shown that he's a C level fighter who was magically given A level status. He'll never be competitive at the top level..unless he convinces guys at 135 to fight at a catch weight at 146.

Broner should be kept away from punchers, fighters his size, fighters with stamina and a boxing brain

.So Adrien..go back to fighting midgets, preferably cheating them on the scales where possible too...youve done it before

  • Broner:Not Going to Sit in Sorrow, I Can Still Party?

Broner was interviewed by Showtime’s Barry Tompkins.

“I’m still young, fly and flashy, and still in the game of boxing,” Broner said.

“I’m not here to make any excuses. I’m in a dangerous sport,” he said. “We’re not going to sit in sorrow. We’re going to live tomorrow like we won the fight. So if anybody wants to come out and be with the three-time world champion — because I can still go on and say I was three-time world champion. I still am a three-time world champion in three different weight classes. I can still live on and say that. I can still party. I can still have fun. My first party is going to be on Tuesday in Cincinnati.

“All I can do is go back to the drawing board, and come back and fight my *** off,” Broner said. “He fought a hell of a fight. I fought a hell of a fight. He was the better man tonight. I’ll fight him my next fight, but right now, we’re going to live like we won the fight. If you want me in your club. I will be in your club.”

He was then asked if he was going to remain at welterweight, rather than drop back down to lighter weight classes.

“Listen, you know where I’m going to stay,” Broner said. “I’m going to stay in your club if you call me.”

  • Maidana, Malignaggi and Porter Have Proven That Khan Is Elite Level?

Khan's only defeats came when he was weight-drained and had poor training camps...similar to Manny Pacquiao and a number of other fighters who have been beaten in the past due to ill-preparation. It probably goes without saying and I'm sure most would agree that Khan would beat both Prescott and Garcia if he was operating at even 70% of his full capability....without the burden of weight-draining and poor training camps to contend with.

Maidana and Malignaggi both beat Broner (although Paulie was robbed) a guy who was already in some people's top ten P4P list but we saw how Khan dominated Malignaggi and beat Maidana clearly after flooring him in the first round...Khan was also able to absorb all of Maidana's shots on his so-called "glass chin" and never went down once. Broner went down twice, I guess you will have to concede now that his chin is nowhere near as good as Khan's, when Khan is in good condition.

Porter beat Alexander and we need to keep in mind that Porter drew with Diaz in their first fight - Khan's last opponent - so really Porter is approximately the same level as Diaz, and a notch below Khan. Alexander of course is even lower down than Porter at this point.

It just goes to show that a properly conditioned Khan..when he isn't weight-drained, is a league above all these boxers named, he has excellent punch resistance, impeccable skills and blisteringly fast hands - when he isn't weight-drained.

The only logical choice now is for Mayweather to step up and face his greatest threat in the division. Perhaps Khan is the only elite level boxer left in the conversation or do you think any other boxers (except perhaps Pacquiao) could be considered anywhere near Khan's level at this point?

  • What the reason for Italian football's decline?

There was the time when Serie A was the best league in the world..courting players like Ronaldo,Bergkamp,Zidane,Dessaily etc..

Between 1990-99..an Italian team made it to the CL final 8 times in 10 years.

And this season only 1 Italian team made it the knockout stage.

The top italian team DO have money to sign top players.

What the reason for the decline?

  • Manny Pacquaio now $18 million in debt to the IRS?

Just when you thought Pacquiao's financial woes coudent get worse..it did.

He now has a bill of $18 million dollars ... in addition to his $50 million tax fight in the Philippines ... and this time, it's Uncle Sam that's trying to force Manny to pay up.

the first thing Pac needs to do is fire all of his people...there's no way anyone with an entourage that big can overlook an issue like taxes..

@Pacfans ..well,the 'bright side' to this is atleast you will get to see Pac fighting in the ring..for the forseeable future.

Pac would've been better off with Haymon

    Bob doesn't give a **** about him.

  • So We Can Agree Now Alexander Was Always A "Bum" and Never worthy for Mayweather?

it's pretty clear now, as I've mentioned many times, that Alexander was never in the league of Khan or Mayweather, and never a worthy opponent for either fighter. Alexander has always been a "bum" (going by the terminology of some other posters), now you less-knowledgeable boxing fans know the truth, try to learn from the lessons freely provided.

He couldn't even beat a guy that Khan's last opponent drew with.. Imagine if he had fought Khan tonight, there's almost no doubt that Devon would have either quit like he did against Bradley, been straight knocked out within the 12 rounds or lost a very wide UD to Khan..

Now let's stop all this nonsense about Alexander ever being a legit Khan or Mayweather opponent. It's time for Mayweather vs Khan to happen.
