I'm 34, a father, a husband, a freethinker and a designer. I have 3 cats, love reading, movies (gory), and music (heavy). Love traveling, new cultures, experiencing new things. Love cooking and trying new foods. I've done a lot of stuff in my life, and there isn't much that I don't have an opinion on, so bear with me if it seems that I have an answer for everything. If I have nothing to say I keep quiet. I'm Portuguese, if it matters to you, if not, then I'm from planet Earth. I love the environment, animals, peace and love. But I'm not a fanatic, I eat meat, and don't care if you use leather. To each his own. I don't preach, and don't like when others try to preach to me. I try to be useful in this life, just in case there's something else after it. I always have a smile to offer, and if you need one right now, here it is :)

  • I ate a pork chop, and then I sneezed...?

I ate a pork chop, then I sneezed... or it might have been the pork chop...I'm not sure, now that I think about it, it didn't look very healthy... Am I going to die?

Should I eat with a mask on? Should I stop snoring like a pig? Will this get me infected?

Who thinks this is going to be like the Asian flu, and nothing will happen? Maybe it was a slow news week...

  • What is a whoopie pie?

I just saw it on Yahoo's main page.

    http://www.nytimes.com/2009/03/18/dining/18whoop.h...

It sounds delicious, what I really want to know is: is it really good? have you tasted it? what is the best filling? I 'm going to try and make a recipe this weekend, let's see how that goes. Is there any place online where I can buy them and send them to Portugal? I don't think so but... the filling is probably very perishable.

Can you describe to me what the flavor is? And the texture?

    Thanks

  • What is the weirdest thing you ever ate?

I had fried giant ants three years ago. They tasted like bacon but a bit too crunchy to my taste.

  • Have you ever read " The Pillars of the Earth"?

I'm reading it right now, and I'm loving it. How could I have bypassed it for so many Years? There's a sequel now, is it good? Or not as good as the first book?

Check out this image, it's really funny, especially if you, like me, don't understand why they call it soccer.

  • What do you think of this goal?

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FPadMC79frw&NR=1

Here is a link for a fabulous goal on a Sunday night match. Let me know what you think, best goal of 2009? So far it is. If it had happened a week earlier it would be best goal of 2008 for sure. Do you agree?

  • Do you prefer Forgiveness or Revenge?

I wish I was the kind of guy that forgives, but somehow, the first thing that pops into my mind is revenge. What about you?

  • What is the best place to visit if I ever travel near you?

If I ever go to a place near you, what would be your recommendation, other than the known tourist traps?

Any info is helpful, a hotel, a church, a small plaque, a mom and pap dinner or a fine restaurant, places to shop or even a good view.

If you ever come to Portugal, I recommend the Church of S. Francisco, the fabulous beaches of the Algarve, and a trip in the Douro Train, that follows the wineries of the Douro valley.

  • Name some really cool horror movies.?

I'd like something off the beaten track, so if you're naming something from hollywood- Forget it! I haven't seen a good one coming from there in more than a decade, and the best seem to be low quality remakes of excellent Spanish or Asian films.

So, what say you? Any good movies around that I haven't heard about?

    Thanks

  • Do you like this joke?

In a small town, a guy just passing by goes into the local ( and only ) general store to buy tissues.

-I'd like a box of tissues, please.

The old man behind the counter just stares at him, over his rimless glasses, and answers:

    - May I inquire who are they for?

    - They're for me, but I don't think that's any of your business, the guy answers.

-On the contrary , my dear sir - retorts the store owner- it's of paramount importance to know everything about the intended use of all the items sold in this store. It's our goal to serve the customer in the most satisfactory manner possible, therefore I need all the information I can get. Now, do you have any history of nasal illness?

-What? What do you care? No I don't have any nasal illness.

-Well, what about you parents? I'd like your family nasal history, to be able to sell you the appropriate tissues.

The client was already getting mad with all this, so he turns around and says- Well I don't need the tissues that much, I'll just buy them in the next town!!!

As he turns to leave, a new customer walks in, carrying some tiles, and a toilet. The new arrived man, goes straight to the store owner and says:

Here they are Mr. Jones, this is the toilet, these are samples of the EXACT tiles in the bathroom, I've already shown you my a$$, and so has my wife. Can I buy some toilet paper now?

  • Who will you vote for? Obama or McCain? ?

This a small poll of mine to find out if the ones they show on TV are accurate. Instead of only answering this question, I propose that you give thumbs up or thumbs down to the answers that already exist ( preferably the first for each- one for Obama, and one for McCain), it will make it easier to count. This way you can check on the answers and see for yourself how the tally is going. Don't forget, if you are voting for McCain give the first answer for him a thumbs up and the first answer to Obama a thumbs down, if you are for Obama do the opposite .

    Thanks

  • My baby has some blood on her nose?

She has 4 months and has a small cold. We have to clean her nose every hour for her to be able to breathe right. When we cleaned it last it had a small amount of blood in her "snot". Is this normal? I know sometimes it hapens to adults but I think it takes a lot more nose wipping. Did it ever happen to your kid? She doesn't have fever and seems not to be sick at all except for her nose. Thanks for your help. I know it's probably nothing, but I need to be reassured. Yes, it's my first kid :)

  • My 4 month baby has a small growth under her arm?

I called the doctor and he said it's a reaction to the vaccination and I shouldn't worry about it. But of course I do. It's like she has a pea under her skin. Or a zit under the skin. It's hard and round. It doesn't seem to be painfull, and she seems normal and happy. Any of you with kids ever experienced this? Is it serious? Should I be worried? The doctor said that if it becomes painfull or doesn't start to disappear in a week to call again and make an appointment. Should I make an appointment before that? Thanks for your help.

  • What's the name of the movie?

I don't know much about it, and I've never seen it. It's a short film, 11 minutes I believe. I think it has Uma Thurman, because I read a review about it and it mencioned Kill Bill, something about the suits being similar, it was intended for internet distribution, and I think it has something to do with cars. It's a 2007 production and IMDB came out blank. Anyone?

  • Who's better, in their prime?

As a Portuguese, our national team played against England several times, but I never felt intimidated by the English Strikers, Rooney, Owen and Crouch as much as I was by Alan Shearer ( I always remember Euro 2000 when I thought we were doomed). Who do you think was or is best?
