Hi, Your answer is very knowledgeable. So I wonder if you can solve our mystery. We have a leak in our kitchen ceiling. Water drips. If I close the main water connection, then the leak stops. If I open the water connection, the leak starts 4 to 6 hours after it is opened. A portion of the wall is damp. The water leak was heavy before sometime. During that period, our neighbours complained that the rain water is dripping in their conservatory. Their roof is also leaking and so was ours. I got a roofer to paint some waterproof coating on our conservatory roof & rain water pipe. However there is a small patch behind that rain water pipe which has been missed out during the painting from which our neighbour's roofer say there is a small leak. Water dripping is substantially reduced after the waterproof painting. I got a plumber to check our bathroom which is over our kitchen. He removed the floorboards &checked but could not find anything. Pl can you think of why it happen

  • Here are some riddles to solve!?

    1. Why is it better to have round manhole covers than square ones? This is logical rather than lateral, but it is a good puzzle that can be solved by lateral thinking techniques.

    2. A man went to a party and drank some of the punch. He then left early. Everyone else at the party who drank who drank the punch subsequently died of poisoning. Why did the man not die?

    3. Bob and Tom started a journey from their home at the same time. Bob drives his car with a speed of 60 km/h and Tom goes with a speed of 37.2822715 miles per hour? Bob reaches his destination at 6 a.m. in the morning. At what time should we expect Tom to reach? (Note : assume that it's an ideal situation without any traffic and other hindrances).

    4. Imagine yourself driving on a highway on a windy day. Suddenly you notice some people standing by the side of the road, and you slow down. You learn that the people include your best friend, an ailing old lady and your dream girl. Now, the ailing lady is dying and requires immediate medical help. In another case you are getting only one chance to spend a day with your dream girl, and of course you can't leave your best friend. So what would you do in order to help the lady to reach the hospital? Remember, that your car can carry 'ONLY TWO' people (the driver and one passenger).

    5. There is a casino and it has 4 gates (let's name them as gate A, B, C and D). Every time you come inside the casino, you have to pay $5 and every time you leave the casino, you again have to pay $5. Also know that, whatever amount of money you carry with you inside the casino, it doubles. For example if you carry $5, it will become $10. You have to go inside the casino through gate A, come out of B, again go inside the casino through gate C and finally come out of gate D. Now, how much money should you carry inside the casino so that when you finally come out of the gate D, you should be left with no (zero amount) money?

    Good Luck!!! :)

  • Help with Imagery and Emotive Language please?

I am doing a police report. I have completed the report but need to add imagery and emotive language. I am describing a robbery. Where can I add imagery and emotive language please? I am describing a juvenile group and a hooded party clash. If you can can please add something to these sentences, I will be grateful. 'One of the gang was a group of 4 Juveniles and the other consisted of hooded parties; leading to suspicion. In response to the message, I reached the site at 07:19:00 AM.

Upon enquiry, it was discovered that the disturbance lasted for approximately 12 minutes. The Juveniles seem to be teenagers and the other group is still unknown.'

Ok, so here is the riddle which I think is REALLY hard:

There was a small village out in the middle of no place. Which had people living there as well. In this Village there was a garden with flower that grew and were well taken care of. The owner of the garden was a witch and gaurded her garden. Also in this village there was a young couple with two children and a husband and a wife. It was soon to be the husbands birthday and the wife had nothing to give. She would always pass the garden looking at the flower and thought how great of a gift it would be to give her husband one. So anyways she goes and grabs a flower from the garden. As she leaves the garden the witch appears before her. She yells at her and does her thing and says she is punished and vanished her no more. Many hours later her husband is very worried about his wife. The witch appeared before him and told what his wife has done. He cried and cried and told her he would do anything to get his wife back. The witch said to him. "There are three new rose bushes in my garden, you wife is one of them. you have until 3 days to pick a rose from garden and figure which one is which, if you pick the wrong one you and you family will be part of my garden forever." The witch did alsos did say that from dark to dusk his wife would be there, so when the sun was about to set she would vanish to one of the three rose bushes. After the three days of pain and sorrow. He went to the garden right as the sun was coming up. He headed straight for the rose bushes and started for a moment. He then grabed for one of the branches and took a rose from a bush. Just then his wife appeared and everything was happy expcet for the witch. Here comes the riddle part, how did he know what rose bush to pick from?
