I am a bible believing Christian. Although I graduated from Catholic School, I am no longer a Catholic and attend no organized church or belong to any organized religion. I attend Church services in only non denominational Christian Churches. I have complete faith in God's word and in His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. Nothing in this world is more important then to love God and to believe in the teachings of Jesus Christ. All the material things of this world are meaningless compared to your eternal life with the Lord in His kingdom. I live for the future with faith in God and in Jesus Christ.
Why do you think the bible translators didn't name the book of Acts after it's author...?
Like they did for John and Peter. We know that Luke wrote the book of Acts so why wasn't it called, 2Luke like the others? Just wondering why?
10 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoHow can some Christian churches justify the ordination of gays and lesbians into their priesthood.?
Churches like the Roman Catholics, Presbyterians, Episcopalian and Latter-day Saints to name a few. How can these churches possibly justify this outrageous policy when the bible in both new and old testament condemns the homosexual lifestyle. These churches continue to ordain homosexuals even though they continue in their life style. Do the people of these churches confess their sins to these homosexual priests and actually believe their sins are forgiven?? This is insanity and will lead to millions of lost souls. What is their reason for this?
24 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoIsn't the "hail Mary prayer" a repetitious prayer?
And isn't the second half of that prayer un scriptural because Almighty God cannot have a Mother. God always was and is immortal and the bible tells us Jesus is not God but was sent by God. So why even say such a prayer that is un scriptural and repetitious when Jesus himself said it would only be in vain?
Matthew 6:7 (KJV)
But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
Would like to hear the Catholic reasoning but all are welcome.

9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoIs this prophesy about the Catholic Church?
1 Timothy 4:1-4 (KJV)
Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:
Sure sounds like it.
12 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoSerious bible question for bible knowledgeable people only.?
I love the word of God but this has me stumped. The scriptures tell us that sin leads to death such as.. Gal 6:8, James 1:15, Rev 20:14-15 and several more. Other scriptures say that sinners will be in torment forever such as..Matt 25:46, Rev 14:9-11 and so on. Any thoughts on this will be greatly appreciated. Here are the scriptures that I referred to so you don't have to look them up.
Gal 6:8..(NLT)..Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit.
James 1:15 (KJV).. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
Rev 20:14-15 (KJV)..14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
Matt 25:46 (KJV) Jesus said... And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
Rev 14:9-11 (NLT)..9 Then a third angel followed them, shouting, “Anyone who worships the beast and his statue or who accepts his mark on the forehead or on the hand 10 must drink the wine of God’s anger. It has been poured full strength into God’s cup of wrath. And they will be tormented with fire and burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and the Lamb. 11 The smoke of their torment will rise forever and ever, and they will have no relief day or night, for they have worshiped the beast and his statue and have accepted the mark of his name.”
Thanks for the help.

2 AnswersYahoo Finance8 years agoChristians only..Are all Catholics going to Hell?
The bible is very clear that only God can forgive sins and that we should go to Him to confess our sins and He will forgive us. Catholics believe that their priests were given the power to forgive sins and they go to them for forgiveness. If they are wrong in their beliefs then when they die they will die with their sins and all perish in hell forever. That's a gamble no one should take.
23 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoHow could President Obama be a Christian?
President Obama went to Muslim schools in Indonesia. Since his early years in Harvard law school he has been wearing a ring that says "there is no god except Allah." and he wears that ring today.
And finally and most scary in his own words from his book of "Audacity of hope" he says...
"I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction".
He sounds like a Muslim and they hate Christians and Jews.

15 AnswersReligion & Spirituality10 years agoWhy do the majority of Christian Churches baptize wrong?
They use the "titles" (not names) of Father-Son and Holy Ghost as is written in Matt 28:19. However every baptism that was done in the new testament was done ONLY in the "name" of Jesus. Why do the churches ignore the preponderance of scriptures that say to baptize in the name of Jesus and go by the ONE scripture of Matthew 28:19 that says to use the titles of Father-Son and Holy Ghost. Why would Matthew write to baptize in Father-Son and Holy Ghost when he himself along with all the apostles baptized only in the name of Jesus. This alone should show that there is something wrong with that scripture. We know that some of the scriptures have been changed to imply other then what is the truth, by those who want to give credit to their belief. Either you must believe that Matthew 28:19 was changed or the apostles including Matthew and Paul deliberately disobeyed Jesus if what he said in Matt 28:19 was true.
Acts 4:12
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
Colossians 3:17
