  • I'm experiencing pain while urinating. How can I tell if it is from a yeast infection or a bladder infection?

So, I'm experiencing pain (burning) while urinating and some itching. How can I tell if it's a yeast infection or a bladder infection? I'm not really sure how to tell the difference as the symptoms are similar. I've had both and I've been to the doctor (so please don't just say, go see a doc) previously, but I'm still unsure how to determine which one it is.

    Thanks.

  • My ankles are sore, especially when I get up to stand. What's causing this?

I work in an office (just moved to NYC two months ago, but I've been working in an office for 3 years now) and everytime I get up to stand, my ankles hurt quite badly. I have to walk lightly at first and then the pain usually decreases, but doesn't go away completely. I'm not really overweight, so I don't think it has to do with that and I just rest my feet on the ground, so they aren't resting in an unusual way or anything. It's been really cold in here lately, so I don't know if that has anything to do with it. When I search online, it mentions arthritus but I'm only 25. Can there be any explanation of this, or a way to prevent it? I appreciate all input. Thanks!

  • Possibly moving to New York City, what are the cleanest/safest places to live?

I just had a job interview in NYC and if I get it, will probably make $32-$35K. What are the best areas for living with that budget? I know what I can afford with rent as far as that goes, but I don't have a clue how much money I'll need saved for everything else. I've looked at Craigs List, but would like to know the safest/cleanest places to live (are cockroaches/rats a common problem? Hey, at least I don't have an idealized view of the city!). I'm from a small town and am freaking out a little, but want the change. Anyone know of any specific New York forums/message boards? Any advice/tips are appreciated!
