  • Looking for a good chatroom?

So I pretty much used to go on chat sites when I was younger (12-15 yrs old) with my DSi like a place called DSiTaco and 3DSplaza. I'm looking for a place where I can actually chat with people again. Anywhere from age 9 to 99. Just a general chat where people do whatever (talk, roleplay, etc). Anyone have any recommendations? And not just apps. I'm mostly looking for actual sites I can use on my PC and stuff. Thank you.

  • Current or up-coming social network like old MySpace?

Self-explanatory question. Is there any social network now that is like the old 2006 MySpace; where you can listen to music, fully customize your profile, etc?

  • Books to read in my interest?

Just looking for some good books to read. I play a lot of video games and enjoy games like Paper Mario, Sarge s Heroes, Fire Emblem, Pokémon, and Luigi s Mansion. I ve currently added 1984, Tesla s autobio, and CIA and the Cult of Intelligence to my cart on Amazon. I have enjoyed books in the past: The Giver, Elsewhere, and the Five People You Meet In Heaven. I like sci-fi (more like Twilight Zone stuff), action, but also enjoy a good story. Any recommendations? I can grow bored of a book so I need an interesting read that keeps me wanting to continue to the next page. Thank you!

  • Good books for a non-book reader?

I'm looking for a good read. Something to catch my attention and be curious or on the edge of my sear before I turn the page. I enjoyed reading To Kill A Mocking Bird, The Giver, and Elsewhere. I'm looking into reading 1984 next, but I want to know what else there is.

An older guy told me about some old 1920s-40s sci-fi books that have an interesting twist to them, but I would have to re-ask what they were entirely about. I know I couldn't find them when trying a google search on the topics.

Books haven't always been my thing, and I'm not looking for something like Harry Potter, Hunger Games, or anything else like that. I'm thinking about also finding a good read about some kind of nuclear fallout scenario, but not with crazy magical twists. Any recommendations? Thank you.

  • Can I manually make T-Mobile iPhone 5 work on Verizon?

I have an iPhone 4S currently, and just recently got a secondhand iPhone 5 off of one of my friends for free. However, the iP5 is a model from T-Mobile, while I'm on Verizon. Is there are way I would be able to somehow manually unlock it to make it work with Verizon? Could I just replace the antenna with a CDMA antenna (if it's even a thing that would work) to make it work? Would I be able to just go into a T-Mobile store to unlock and then a Verizon store to use the phone, if the above wouldn't work?

Also, would there be a way to manually activate it without going to a Verizon store? I know *228 works if switching between 3G/2G phones, but is there a way to switch between 4G devices?

    All answers appreciated! Thank you!

  • How long can a person survive wihout food or water in a coma?

Self explanatory question. I would expect longer than when plainly asleep or awake since your body is basically in shutdown.

  • Headset to USB Adapter?

For whatever reason, my front audio ports on my PC case refuse to work so I'm looking for a TRRS-compatible 3.5mm 1-port headset to USB adapter. I've checked online, but all I see are dual wire (separate input for audio and mic) sound adapters; none that just support an all-in-one single mic/audio wire. Anyone have suggestions or an easy search I can make online to find what I need?

  • Is there a way to use a 4GB RAM stick in a motherboard that only supports 2GB per slot?

I built my own computer recently and kept wondering why no matter what I did, the 4GB stick of RAM I bought wasn't working. I pretty much tried everything someone could think of; changing voltages, removing the other RAM, etc. Currently I have 2x1GB sticks in that work perfectly fine. However, I can't get the new Corsair 4GB stick to work. Yes I know two different types of RAM may not work together, but again, literally tried everything to get passed that. I looked into it and my board (ASUS P5K3 Deluxe; max RAM: 8GB) apparently might only support 2GB/slot. Could this be the case? Is there any possible way to get around this? Answers appreciated. Thank you.

  • Is it possible to make a hybrid phone?

Would it work if I tried to replace a phone screen with a screen of the same size for a different phone? Would it work to replace a keyboard on a slider phone with the keyboard half of another slider phone? Also, can the camera on a phone be upgraded somehow by replacing it with the camera piece of another phone?... Or would it be all incompatible because of some sort of set programming?

  • LG Octane won't turn on anymore?

A couple months back, my old LG Octane stopped working after I started caring less and less about what happened to it since I got a new phone. It just randomly stopped working one day. However, I still have stuff I need copied on that phone and it can't be transferred to a computer in any way. I have to plug it into the charger to get it to do anything and even then, all it does is show the Verizon Wireless logo for a few seconds and then fade to black and repeat. Is there any way of fixing this?

  • Can I replace a smartphone processor for a better one?

I am thinking of getting a certain phone that was released a few years back. It is a great phone, except due to its time of release, the specs weren t the best in the world. So I was wondering if it was possible to upgrade its processor from 800mhz to at least 1ghz. It is an LG Ally. I hear most people saying no, but some saying they ve seen it done or it s possible but hard to do. If there is a way or a website I can visit to get more information, anyhing would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

  • Does the Env Touch Browser still support YouTube?

I'm considering geting an LG Env Touch, but I'm afraid it'll be a little too outdated for me (no I will not get a smartphone if you're trying to suggest that). But I'm afraid that the browser won't work as it should (like on my Octane) and I'll have to download Opera which doesn't have flash. So I'm wondering (since they changed how their website works and it doesn't aupport certain devices anymore) if YouTube still functions how it should on the phone as well as maybe Twitch. Please help. Thank you.

  • Flip Phones Equal To Or Better Than The LG Env Touch?

I'm looking to maybe get an upgrade from my LG Octane but want to have the same style phone. I looked into the Env Touch and had it as my first choice until I noticed the Genesis. Even though it was US Cellular, I thought I could maybe try and put in a Verizon SIM card instead. Long story short, I was wondering if there was any other place I could find the Genesis (since I couldn't find it everywhere I looked on the internet), if there's another phone equal to that with the same style flip/qwerty keyboard, or if I'm stuck getting the Env Touch. And no, I'm not really interested in the slider phones, so don't mention them. Any helpful information would be appreciated. Thank you.
