  • Will they let me in if I arrive late at a baseball game?

Or will they make me wait until halftime? Also, how long is a typical game? It starts at 7pm so when would halftime be?

I am from the UK so don't know about baseball, but my flight gets into seattle at 7pm on the only day that there's a home game on, but the game starts then too. Obviously I'm not gonna make it for that time, but I could do 8pm - so would they let me in as long as I had a ticket?

    Thanks!

  • Grammar - is an abstract concept 'personified IN' or 'personified BY' a person?

I'm writing an article where I'm saying that the quote "genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration" could easily be personified by Charles Darwin. 'Personified by' sounds ok to me, but is 'personified in' the technically correct phrase? Basically, I'm trying to concisely say that Charles Darwin's life is a good example of that quote, as there was no "Eureka!" moment but a long slog of research (several decades, in fact!) to come up with his theory of evolution. I'd really like to know how I can tell when to use 'personified by' or 'personified in' (so that I can get it right in future as well).

    Any explanations/suggestions would be fab!

    Thanks! :-)
