I want to go on a gap year to any Eastern European country to teach a sport. I don't mind which country I go to but would like to stay clear of Serbia as I've already been there. Unfortunately I can't find any companies which do gap years to these countries. If you know any countries which do gap years to Eastern Europe or WHY companies don't go here please let me know. Also, if you know how I would do one of these coaching gap years not through a company, but through contacting the people in the country myself, please let me know. Thanks

I want to know of some countries which I can visit on my own (not through a tour company and a guide) which haven't become westernised. I don't mind where they are as long as I don't need a tour guide. I don't mind visiting regions which are politically unstable but would like to avoid active war zones (Afghanistan etc). If you know any or have been to any of these countries please let me know how easily accessible and other info about it. Thanks

Scientists working for organisations such as SETI say they are looking for inhabitable planets BUT we are looking for oxygen and water. What if the "aliens" don't need water and oxygen to live? We don't know what these organisms need to sustain life. They might respirate using nitrogen or argon or any other gas. Why aren't we exploring these possibilities?
