  • If you send a letter to a PD, can/will they send it to someone else?

For example, an officer who died, if you send them a card for his family, will they really give it to his family? I don't know if they would have contact info or not, or if the card would just stay at the PD...

  • NASA vs Space Force?

Which would you pick to join and why?

My main thoughts so far is Space Force I might be able to do more, like I assume they would stop the asteroids ckming our way and stuff, but Nasa I can release my findings without worrying about secrecy..

    Any other points to consider?

  • Can you do anything if youre not technically in charge..? ?

Sister moved out w bf. Left her dog with us for a few months until she "felt like" taking her dog. I live with dad and cant afford to move out yet. We have two dogs already who only I take care of. Dad goes to work, comes home to eat snd drink then passes out in his chair. But my sister wants to drop her dog off again whenever she feels like it and dad says yes to everything for her, whrn hes not even going to watch or care for the dog.....

So its his house but Im the one who takes care of the dogs so do I have any say...?

He doesnt even open the back door to let them out and if he does, he leaves them out there for about 30 min while he takes a trip to his room and disappears, leaving the dogs barking at the door...

(Again, cant afford to move out yet but Im definitely taking the dogs when I go...) Do i have any say if Im the only one who watches the dogs...?

I saw an episode of How Its Made that explained whag happens to the water we flush; it goes back out to the lakes and oceans... I never knew that and figured we just "recycled" the water we use to poop in, since it's, you know.. just used to carry our poop away...

So where does the water come from in the first place?? Lake/ocean also, or...?

  • Do medical clinics decide their own prices?

I was curious if someone could technically open a  cheap medical clinic that does not take insurance, and only charges reasonable prices to stop giving the healthcare field so much money and power...

  • What am I doing wrong with my bonsai? Does it need moss?

I got the bonsai with moss a little dry.. I got the moss all moist and it seemed healthy, so I kept the plant inside beside a window, and the plant looked like it was dying after a week or two... So I put it outside to get full sun (it usually gets hot around here), and the plant looks healthy but the moss is completely dried up no matter how much water I use...

So does the bonsai need the moss..? What am I doing wrong..?

  • Why did I get nauseous at the pool?

I haven't been to the pool in years, since swimming's usually not my thing.. I am pretty active but more like running than swimming activities..

So last time I went to the pool, I think I got motion sickness and got really nauseous in the water, so I had to leave after only being there for like 10 mins because I was getting a headache then too..

I don't feel like that in the bathtub so I dont know what it is though?

I've also noticed recently that when playing Call of Duty, staring at that screen, I also seem to get motion sickness easily and start getting a headache and a little nauseous...

    Anyone know why though??

  • Other words to use besides "love" or "sincerely"?

As a kid I just wrote "love, my name" with everything. Now getting a little older, card to a friend or aquantance or something like that, I never realized the word "love" or a heart with a comma, could be inappropriate or possibly even taken the wrong way depending on the recipient..

(I write a lot and any time I sign my name I draw a heart, a comma then my name...)

So first of all would writing a heart really seem innapropriate or am I being dramatic, and second, what are nice alternative words..?

I like "sincerely" but dont know if it sounds weird since its so much longer than just drawing a heart, which is the only way I'm used to signing...

  • When should you get your degree (military)?

Is it better to get your degree on your own before you go in, or join and getvyour degree through the military...?

I have an associates on my own so far. Not sure if I can afford Bachelors on my own or not, unless that's the better way to do it, then I will.

Or does it even matter....? I have no clue...

  • How to say in "work terms" that you're on your period?

Like when I'm feeling gross and nauseous, so the culprit is obvious and they don't think its related to covid...

Why does this keep happening to my thread?

My seeing machine keeps doing this about every thirty seconds or so while seeing... It stops and the string is stretched and the top gold part of the picture, that thing keeps "catching" the string somehow so I have to pull it out of there and re-thread every time....

I'm kind of a beginner and have no idea what the use of that gold part is anyways, and now it keeps causing me problems...

  • I'm confused what the dress code is at work?

So my work is confusing about dress code, generally you can wear shorts to or below the knee. I wore some where my knees technically showed, and they told me if I did that again I'd be sent home with a disciplinary action..

Thing is, I had been wearing them a while for summer months and no one said anything until a customer got a picture of me in those shorts and the picture got out..

And I've seen other cashiers there daily wearing shorts way higher than their knee, and they never get yelled at...

Then more recent in winter months, I came to work asking if we could wear a pullover hoodie so I wouldn't get in trouble again.. The manager said no I cannot, because my work shirt has to be seen.. But as soon as I walked away from that manager to start my shift, I glanced around and there were at least 4 other coworkers wearing hoodies and no one said anything to them.....

Sooo I'm confused, can we break dress code for work as long as we're not caught??

  • What is worse, a wrinkled bill or faded bill (US currency)?

As far as "resale value", I have a ben franklin with a slight crease right on his face in the bill, but the bill feels newer and less used. The other does not have any creases, but feels thinner and the face is somewhat faded and looks more gray...

Is there one better than the other for its value..?

(They are newer bills, not planning to sell anytime soon, but want to put them aside for far down the road...)

  • Can you use bleedstop on a stab/interior wound?

Curious for future reference. If someone is stabbed, would it be ok to pour bleedstop (powdery stuff) inside the wound to help stop the bleed, or could that "complicate" the inside based on where they were stabbed..?

This is for the minutes before any professionals come and they could bleed out and die...

  • How to get more motivation?

I have plenty of motivation around other people and at work, but I get home and just wanna lay on the couch all day... Keep wanting to be productive at home and do more, I have like 20 different projects surrounding me and plenty to keep me busy, but recently I keep just laying on the couch tired and doing nothing but thinking of doing it all, instead of just doing it...
