  • Why don't you see certain exercise machines in gyms?

Like the bowflex, the treadclimber, the total gym, etc The bowflex offered a guarantee at one point if you used it for six weeks or something you were guaranteed to get some muscle. Guessing either because they are NO good, or TOO good.

  • What do you (personally) use for virtual stock trading?

I think I may get into forex and commodities and others in the future but for right now I just want to find one to trade stocks virtually, to experiment before I do it for real. I tried tradestation  but they require you to fund your account with 2K of real cash before you can even virtually trade. I tried google, but many of them are games competing with other people- I just want to do it for me. I tried I think it was TD ameritrade, but they require you give them personal information like where you work.

Anywhere you can do it for free, preferrably just with a sign up, that requires as little personal information as possible, and you can experiment with any amount of money? I want to try first starting with $2500 and see what I can turn it into, but do also want to experiment with higher amounts.

  • Where can I see where I downloaded a torrent from........from WITHIN the utorrent client?

I visit websites to download torrents, but how I can find out the site where I downloaded it from.......INSIDE the utorrent client? Is there anything that can tell you where you got it from, so then I can put in the URL/address bar and go back there? Right clicking and seeing the properties of a torrent gives you some info on the tracker...............but that's not the website the link was on that you followed.

  • How can I reset my hard drive to it's default layout?

Basically, let's say I start with a hard drive with a single partition running Windows 10. Then I create some other partitions, format them, install some other OSes or whatever else I want to do. Then, if I did something on accident I didn't want to/messed up the hard drive, I could restore a backup that would return the hard drive to the single partition with Windows 10. This was I can experiment installing OSes/partitioning, etc. I thought of making a backup with Acronis True Image 2020, but will that only backup windows, not my whole hard drive's layout, etc? I know about virtualbox, but I want to specifically experiment with partitioning and formatiing, which that doesn't let me do.

  • How does a lung transplant work?

Really my question is when they remove a bad lung to put in a good one, wouldn't they be disconnecting all the alveoli from the capillaries, or maybe not, maybe I have the wrong picture here, basically what blood vessels are the alveoli connected to that distributes the oxygen to the body from the lungs, and how do they reconnected the GOOD lung with the circulatory system, a picture would be helpful of how the systems are connected.

  • Will it ever be possible to see the parts of atoms?

I know about high powered electron microscopes like the scanning tunneling microscope, but that doesn't really show you the parts of the atoms, they are represented by colored spheres. What I mean is say a hydrogen atom, being able to see the proton and a electron orbiting it, or say irons atoms, seeing the electrons and nucleui. I think one reason it may not be possible is the wavelength of light is much larger than that of at atomic nucleus, so there's no way it could reflect off of the nucleus and or electrons.

  • What would it be like if the Covid 19 outbreak had happened in 1990 instead?

When most people didn't even have a dial up modem service/never mind the internet, same time frame, March is when the lockdowns had begun, if people COULDN'T work or go to school online from home.

  • How can I organize pictures/files from my android phone when transfering to PC?

The gallery app on my phone under the pictures setting does a real good job of organizing them, telling me what Month, day and even time they were taken. But, as your phone fills up, you'll have to transfer them to your PC (and maybe some other stuff, too, texts, videos, etc)

Is there an app/program like my androids gallery that will show me the photos by month, day and year on my PC, like the gallery app does? I think Dr Fone just lets you back up certain things, not organize them

  • Could a submarine first a torpedo up a surface ship, or could surface ship with torpedo tubes fire a torpedo down at a submarine?

It also makes me wonder how depth charges worked, did you simply roll them off the deck and hope it would explode somewhere near the submarine? How did you know it would explode anywhere near it?

  • Do you keep your debit card on your keychain?

Right now as of many times, I can t find my debit card, I usually find it, but several times I ve had to call for a new one. Without it, I m pretty much financially helpless since I use it for almost everything when I go out.

I was thinking of punching a hole in it and putting it on my keychain which has a tile locator, since I can t get an electronic locator small enough to put on the card itself. Have any of you done this? Is there anything within the card that the plastic punch can damage, I just hate being without my debit card.

  • What s is the name of this movie, 80 s comedy?

I just did about 20 searches and can t find the name of this movie, so if you do please tell me how you did it. The movie is an 80 s comedy about a guy/teenager named Eddie who gets the chance to be the devil or something, grows horns, only he doesn t want it. Most of the movie is about waiting for hell to break loose through his basement, eventually. I can remember several quotes from it "nothing can break it" (he buys plaster) "eight hours of sleep" "you cosmic wimp" "maybe a month ago" he sees his teacher working as a mini-golf place during the summer and there s a song "come on and be a preacher, listen to your teacher" "something has to be done, love him as much as you do"

I ts a not a very well known movie, maybe you never even heard of it, but STOP TELLING people just to use google to find something, like it can ALWAYS find what they re looking for

  • Are there any HDMI to USB adapters/cables?

I want to use my camcorder as a webcam for better quality. It has AV Out, Component Out, and HDMI out, but my laptop apparently doesn t have an HDMI In, Component In or AV In ports At least, that s what I m guessing, it doesn t say whether they are in or out https://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/product...

    I found this, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Oa20kvmBec&featur...

But wonder if it would require a special adapter like this, or a simple HDMI to USB cable would do, I m finding lots of USB to HDMI but not any HDMI to USB.

  • Is there a DVR that can play computer video files?

I know they are for recording from tv, but say one that has a USB port/ports on the front, and a hard drive, which I could plug in a USB flash drive, transfer the video file mp4/avi, etc to it then play it on my tv?

Or maybe even transfer the file to it wirelessly via our home wireless network?

  • Why do a lot of English Singers sound like their american/sing with an american accent when they sing?

I've heard the reason is because it forces you to sing the long vowel sounds, but is this really true? Some singers sound like they are american when they sing, Elton John, Adele and George Michael, but others you can clearly hear their english accent when they sing, such as Sting, Peter Gabriel and Rod Stewart.

I wish I could get Sting to sing a George Michael Song like "everything she wants" and see how he sound, if it would force him to sing with an american accent. He did some vocals work in Dire Straits Money for nothing and sounds English next to the lead vocalist Mark Knopfler who is also English.

  • How do 3D printed objects compare to ones made with coventional manufactuing techniques?

Say a tool, like a hammer, saw or a wrench, it is possible print metal, but wonder how their durability/quality would compare to non 3D printed ones with the metal and wood.

What about (if it can be done yet, or ever) complicated objects made of multiple materials such as a smart phone, laptop or desktop PC or computer monitor/headset. I m told eventually food could be printed, not sure how.

  • What are ways we can levitate something that weighs a ton or heavier, other than with rotors?

This seems a big thing in the obstacle to making a flying car, though the Terrafugia TF-X would actually use rotors, if they ever build one and get it to work, that is.

I don't think the EM drive will work, and seems as of right now, from what we know there's no way to produce anti-gravity, maybe a monopole magnet could do it, but we can only get monopoles to last for a fraction of a second.
