  • Is my partner entitled to half my house?

Me and my partner have been together for three years. I bought a house. The mortgage is in my name. He hasn't made any contribution towards my deposit or towards my mortgage repayments. He only pays half towards my other bills. I've heard that after 2 years of living together that your partner is entitled to everything. I hope this isn't the case because my deposit was paid from the inheritance my father left me. We are not married.

  • Is this a water infection or something else?

I went to the doctors on Friday because I've got a really nasty pain in my lower abdomen. When I got to the doctors I had to see the nurse because the doctor was too busy.

So I explained all of my symptoms to the nurse. I constantly feel like I need to have a bowel movement, but nothing happens when I try to go. When I eventually need to go to the toilet for a movement I have to run to the toilet, because my body doesn't actually know when I need to go now seeing as I feel like I constantly need to go.

I also explained that I feel like I've needed to pee and I've held it in for a long time (that feeling you get when it begins to hurt because you need to go some badly) Obviously I'm not holding myself. When I do go to pee the pain in my abdomen is really intense.

I took a sample of my urine when i went to see the nurse and she explained that she could not see anything to indicate a water infection from this. She still decides to out me on UTI antibiotics, just incase i start with a water infection. This is my third day of antibiotics and no ease of pain.

I've had water infections in the passed. Normally i have a burning sensation. But nothing this time.

What do you think this could be?

    P.S. i'm a male. 25

  • Relationship break down - property involved?

We lost my dad a couple of years ago. I was renting my house off of my dad. When he passed it was in his will for him to leave this property to me. It was all signed over into my name last year. My wife has told me she no longer loves me. I've moved out. We have three children together. I've agreed that she can live in this property until our youngest child is 18.

I don't want to lose my property that my father has left me. Would it be possible for me to sign the deeds of my house over to my mother? Meaning that when i eventually get divorced i won't lose that property because its in my mothers name?

  • Completion day - what a joke!?

I'm currently buying a house. I discussed with my solicitor a completion date of the 5 of July, tomorrow.

On the 28th of June I went to my solicitors to sign contracts. She went through all of the reports that came back. She explained that she needed to raise a question with the surveyor regarding something to do with the drainage, but she wasn't alarmed by this and told me there's no need to worry.

She faxed the Woolwich completion department on the 1st of July stating urgent. The Woolwich have claimed to of sent the question back to the surveyor.

My solicitor has heard nothing off the Woolwich or surveyor so she has chased them today as I'm meant to be 'completing' tomorrow.

I've called the Woolwich myself they told me they have faxed esurv at 12.34 and at 4.08. Esurv are claiming they have not recieved these faxes. Woolwich told me they would email esurv straight away. So I decided to call esurv to listen to there side of the story. They've told me they've not recieved any faxes or emails.

I've tried to call the Woolwich. They are now closed. Has anyone been in this position before? Do you think I'll complete tomorrow?

  • Spots on the head of my penis?

A few days ago I had small red spots appear on my penis. This morning I've got up and found these spots have turned into white spots. What could this be? :-S. The doctors gave me anti biotics a week ago to clear sinusitis and a chest infection. Could this be related?

  • What are these spots on my penis?

The last 3 days I've noticed that I have painless bumps. They are quite small. I know for a fact it's not an STI because I haven't been active for a while. The only thing I can link it with is my immune system has been pretty low. I've had sinusitis followed by a chest infection. So I've been taking anti biotics. Could this be related?

I'm in the middle of buying a house, my mortgage value survey came back today and everything is as expected.

From this point how long does it normally take to complete? There is no chain.

  • Vendor says house isn't underpinned, but mortgage survey says it is?

I'm currently in the middle of buying a house. I saw a crack running from the bedroom window to the bay window. I asked the vendor how that happened. She informed me it was due to subsidence. She told me they had the subsidence tested 30 years ago to see if the house needed underpinning. As a result the vendor has informed me it never needed any underpinning.

So I sent out my mortgage surveyor and the report came back telling me the house had been underpinned. So I went to pull out of the sale. The vendor has been in touch with myself and is adiment that the house has never been underpinned.

Is there a way of finding out if it has or not? Will the council have records of an underpinning?

  • Would you buy an underpinned house?

I was going through the motions of buying a house. Then I received my mortgage survey report. It told me the external walls where poor and that the house has been underpinned 30 years ago. Apparently it hasn't moved since. I've tried compare the market to find insurance but no one will insure it. Specialist insures are asking for £550. Would you still carry on with the purchase?

  • Buying a house - Help!?

    Hi everyone,

I'm currently in the process of wanting to buy a house. I've never brought a property before. I've got my mortgage in principle and I've seen a house I'd like to purchase. The only problem is my deposit is tied up in another property my mom is currently selling. Which has fallen through a few times. I have a few questions I'd like answering if possible please.

If I was to put an offer in on a house and it accepted do I have to pay any fees at this moment in time? (I don't particularly want to pay any money until I know the property which my mom is selling is sold, my concern is if the property mom is selling falls through I've lost money)

I've sourced my own mortgage advisor and he's fantastic. Would anyone recommend sourcing your own solicitors or to use the solicitors at the estate agents?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  • Damp problems at home?

Hi everyone, I inherited a house when my father passed away 2 years ago. Since then I've found out I had a pretty bad damp issue. So I called for a professional to inject the walls to stop the damp.

Last week I had a bad flare up of damp again, so I called out the technician who did the job for me. He said he's never seen anything like this before.

I do know that my house originally had a cellar which had been filled in. We also have a natural spring which runs from the top of the garden towards the house.

When I called out the technician he found that membrane had been put down under the concentrate but not incorporated into the walls and this could possibly be the problem.

What's your thoughts / advice. Please help this is becoming very stressful!

  • Why do I have so much pain in my legs?

Hi everyone, I'm 24 and have started to notice a bit of a problem. Most of the time when I'm walking I get an immense pain in my legs. From top to bottom. My muscles feel really tight. I feel like I'm trying to carry led weights on my legs. I eat a good diet. I'm not over weight. I don't exercise as much as I should. But I don't class myself as under active. I've told my doctor all of this and he doesn't seem to be bothered. Sometimes while walking ill get really out of breath, which can sometimes bring on a panic attack. It's been getting worse in the last year or so and it's beginning to bring me down. It's so embarrassing. For example if I'm out in town clubbing my friends have a now wait for me to catch up because I have to stop walking to catch my breath and for the pain to ease.

Has anyone come across this before? What do you recommend?

  • Paypal - Security breach?

    Hi everybody,

I was wondering if someone would be able to give me some advice on a problem I've come across. I haven't logged on to my main paypal account in a while. I've logged in today because I've needed to update my card details. As i logged on i had a message pop up, asking me to 'verify' my phone number to my account. So i proceeded to do this. The next screen brought up my user profile with my home telephone number, work telephone number, my mobile number and another mobile number which i've never seen before. Apparently this mobile number has been set to my 'primary' number. So i decided to give this number a call. A man answered, someone who i did not recognise.

There has been no activity on my account that i don't recognise.

Do you think this person has access to my account?

Should i report it and how do i report it?

What would you recommend doing next?

Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

My boyfriend has been a little down just lately. So i'd like to get him a gift delivered to work to cheer him up. Not flowers cause he's a guy. Something like a teddy and maybe chocolates. Does anyone have any idea what company, if any, provide a service like this?

    Thank you!

For the last year or so i've had a white furring on my tongue. Each time i go to my GP they say its thrush and give me antibiotics or thrush cream for oral use. After using my antibiotics or cream the symptoms haven't changed. I go back to my doctors but i get fobbed off.

Anyone have any ideas what this could be? And how can i get rid of it? Because its giving me a real complex.

I have good oral hygiene brush my teeth twice a day and use mouth wash.
