  • Can a green card holder leave the country with citizen children?

    Hello,

I am a U.S. citizen. My wife is a legal resident with a green card, and living in the USA. We have two children who where born overseas, but are US citizens. We have recently moved back to the US (within the last year), but go to visit her parents every summer. I am currently still working overseas, and want to know if my wife will be able to leave the US with our two citizen children to meet me for vacation, since I will be leaving from work to meet her in her home country. I need help from people who have dealt with this matter only, not opinions, as this is an important family matter. Thank you.

  • How much overtime are aircraft mechanics getting these days?

I'm a licensed A&P Mechanic currently working overseas, but am looking at moving back. I have been overseas for five years, and alot has changed (economy, etc). I'm looking at getting a job working for a Part 145 Repair Station on corporate jets. This is similar to the jobs I had before I left the US. Can someone working in the field as a contractor or direct tell me if there is still alot of overtime to be had like before, and how much. Thank you.

  • Can anyone who has lived in Guam tell me a little bit about living conditions and specifically crime.?

I am looking at taking a job in Barrigada, Guam, which would require me to move, taking my wife and children with me. I have heard and read that crime is a major concern there. Can someone who has lived there please help me understand if the crime is really as bad as I'm told? Also, is there any place in the continental US that you could compare it to (crime)? I would also like to know about living conditions, etc. Thanks.

  • What is required to do an FAA A&P License to Canadian AME conversion.?

I hold an FAA A&P License with 12 years of experience. I am wanting to get my Canadian AME License also. What is required to do this? I am told the Canadian license is an ICAO Type II license, and will require type ratings. What will be required to convert to the standard license? I know I can add type ratings after using the experience and training on the individual models.

  • What are the chances of a man getting HIV from 1 occasion of unprotected vaginal sex with an HIV+ woman?

I have been concerned about this due to one occasion with a woman from a country where it's more common. I don't even know if she is or not, but worried. I read on a web-site that it is 1 in 200,000.

Does anybody know if this is accurate? This seems a little low to me, but does make me feel better. Are there any other real statistics out there? It's too soon for me to have a test, and I'm just trying to get answers.

  • At what age is a child ready to be taught a second language?

My girlfriend is from another country and she speaks English, but her 3 year old daughter doesn't and has never been around it, because they don't speak it there. They will both be coming home with me soon, and I want her daughter to be ready to start school, and not fall behind due to being behind in English language. I would like to start having her taught now, but am afraid it may be too soon, especially considering she won't use it until she comes with me.
