  • Pressing the brakes it feels like the car is going over small bumps. ?

When I press the brakes the car feels like it is going over bumps occasionally at high speeds and when I slowly come to a stop it feels like I’m driving with eggs as my tires. Couldn’t be rotors or pads or anything since I changed them recently. But I saw on some forum that it could be the ABS kicking on but if that’s the case why does my car feel like it’s going over bumps? Brought it to a mechanic and the guy said there’s nothing wrong but it just doesn’t feel right compared to other vehicles that I drive in. Any ideas?

  • Car jerks while braking?

All rotors and drums have been replaced this year, along with the entire system being flushed. Brake pads and shoes were also replaced. But what I am feeling is when I am traveling at high speeds and brake, the car like jerks forward and when my foot is on the brake the pedal is stiff as hell since everything was changed but one I apply the brakes the car stops but the pedal sinks a little bit and the car jerks then brakes normally and occasionally will jerk again. I brought it to a mechanic and he said there was no issues but obviously there is if it’s happening quite often. Any ideas?

  • Changed the rear brake drums and now the car brakes when I press the pedal down further than before. Any idea?

The front brakes were changed last year and they still have quite a bit of padding left. But a few days ago when I changed the rear brake drums the car feels like it brakes when my foot is closer to the floor. There is absolutely no air in the system as it was entirely flushed and filled with new fluid. Beforehand the brake fluid was contaminated fyi. Any idea? Pads only have roughly 200 miles.

Does primer affect the color of the touch-up paint on the panel?

After a few months of driving on the expressway, the front of my number is destroyed by rock chips. I asked the guy I got the car from if he had any paint leftover and he gave me a small can which ill includes below. However, when I apply the paint to the car, it comes out purple. I've applied it to a couple of metal surfaces before applying it to the panel and the color came out directly as described. I have not tried the primer so I am not sure if this will solve the issue. Any ideas? And yes the the area was cleaned. Also if the issue was not using the primer then the other metal surfaces that I applied it to would have been affected in the same way.

  • What speed would you want to compound and polish your car paint?

With a Maxshine M8S, it has a 6 speed that goes up to 6500 RPM. With that being said, what would be the best RPM range for compounding out severe swirl and scratch marks and what is the best RPM setting for polishing?

  • Easiest way of fixing rear defrosters?

I had window tint on the back windshield and decided to take it off since it started to look like crap. After taking it off and I had to use a razor to scrape some of the tint off the windshield. I know taking the tint off as well as scraping it with a razor will **** up the defrosters so I don’t want to hear anyone’s opinion on that because I already know the mistake I made. Going forward, what is the easiest method of repairing this? Deciding to take a rock and bash it against the glass that’s where I’m at right now.

Do you have to drain your entire coolant system when changing the thermostat on 2012 Honda Civic LX?

If anyone has changed their thermostat on a car similar to mine please let me know. I purchased a 1 gallon of coolant a few days ago for this task and my guess is I would only lose a tiny bit of coolant. If I do happen to take off the radiator hose I’ll just aim it up preventing it from dripping any coolant onto the bay. But if a small amount of coolant will come out of the thermostat than I rather just fill it back up with the additional coolant I purchased. Any takes on this? Below is an image I got online of where the thermostat is located. Just left of the radiator hose.

  • What is the best market cap for growth?

I'm quite curious with what market cap is best for growth at a young age? I have a Fidelity Brokerage and I currently am invested in a small cap index, mid cap index, large cap index, S&P 500 Index, and total market index. Reason why I am bringing this up is I feel like I have my money overlapping each other in all of the index funds, meanwhile if I just have invested in two or three with a larger sum of money due to selling the other funds, then I would be making more money instead of missing out on the potential gains. If someone has enough information, please feel free to let me know. Like I said before, I want to invest in a market cap that will provide the most return. If the total market covers the three individual market caps, then what route should I go for the most return?

  • What is the difference between a forward slip and a cross-controll stall?

In my pilot training I am supposed to incorporate forward slips just in case my final approach was high in which I could lose enough altitude without increase airspeed in order to land safely. I know a forward slip is apply aileron input in one direction and using the rudder in the opposite direction which would result in a cross control stall if I’m correct, but how would this be possible? Correct me if I’m wrong, I’m quite confused with the whole cross control stall and how one might get into that position just by doing a forward slip. Any advice or clarification would be greatly appreciated!

Does my drive belt look dry and warned out?

My mechanic took this picture and indicated that I have to change my belt right away, however Im not great with cars but have been told the normal crap of mechanics ripping you off by an oil change, tire rotation, etc. Someone who knows cars enough let me hear your take on this. Car only has 75k miles by the way.

  • What is the best way to become a fighter pilot in the military? Also what branch do you have a higher percentage of becoming a pilot?

Going to college right now and I’m majoring in Pro Pilot and planning on becoming a ATP pilot one day, however when I watch videos of Jets it gives me the chills of wanting to become a fighter pilot. Many pros and cons of going into the service, but if it gives me a greater chance of increasing my flight time and receiving benefits as a perk then I’m all in. Due to what’s going on now it’s limiting the amount of flight time I receive so I hope this is not the case in the military which I highly doubt.

  • ArmorAll Tire Foam on Engine Bay?

Saw a bunch of videos on YouTube recommending Armor All Tire Foam as well as 303 for the rubber hoses to condition and preserve the life of the hoses. With that being said, using a degreaser such as simple green followed up with Tire Foam would that be considered a good idea. Also any techniques on cleaning the alternator and also the drive belt?

  • When would you sell a portion of your shares vs when to sell all of your shares?

I’m quite curious when you would sell a portion vs the entire thing. For example I bought into Nio when it was over $50 with an incredible profit, however I was told to hold the long term and to only sell when you see a difference in the company along with other factors. Although I do want to take the advantage of the dips and profit when the stock crumbles 10% or so, so in regards to the question at what point would you sell part vs the entire thing?

  • Using a higher octane on Honda Civic to improve fuel economy and efficiency?

I have a 2012 Honda Civic with 74k miles. A friend told me that I should run a higher octane every so often to clean the engine out or just to increase the efficiency of my engine. With your take what is your recommendation? If so what octane?

  • Can you use Meguiars 105 Heavy Cut compound on paint after car has been Ceramic Waxed (2 weeks)?

I took 10 hours detailing my car to have it looking in its best condition and Ceramic Waxed it as well (Ethos Ceramic Wax). One day coming home from school I parked underneath a tree worst mistake of my life and the birds had a big fiesta on my car. Took it to a car wash nearby and once I got the car back from the guys wiping the water off, I noticed severe swirls and scratches like they don’t change the towels they use to dry the cars. Long story short, would you recommend using 105 compound to remove the scratches and polish it up and then reapply the ceramic wax?

  • What are three components of a stall for aircraft?

Have a review sheet that I have to complete and this one question I am stuck on. My guess would be loss of lift, Criticle Angle of Attack, and Reducing pitch.
