  • Why do i never want to sleep? I am in school and my mood is being affected by getting 6 hours sleep a night. Please i need your help.?

I am not sure why but for some reason i just never have any motivation to sleep, if i go to bed, put down my phone and lie down i will be able to fall asleep. But why do i never want to? This is a problem as i am still in secondary school (middle school for Americans) and during the day i do get very tired and sometimes angry. I find it hard to concentrate in class as i am really tired and my mood is being affected by how much sleep i get. But on average i will go to bed at 1am and wake up at 7am for school and on the weekend it is worse. My sleeping habits are really bringing me down and 100% affecting my mood. I do alot of swimming and it helps me relax, but coming in late from swimming i am usually physically tired, but not mentally and before i go to bed i will eat and sit down watch the tv or go on my phone. All i am asking is if anybody knows how i can stop myself from staying up and being destracted - maybe setting a time i have to go to bed? I dont know. All i do know is that i need your help. Thank you x (10 points best answer)

  • Geography or history for GCSE? Advice please. 10 points to best answer?

For GCSE i have to take compulsory subjects: english (lit and language) maths science re (i go to a catholic school). We have to choose a language so i chose: italian, i also have to choose 2 other subjects and so i thought taking both history and geography would be a bit too much so my other choice is PE, i am sure i will not change PE, either geography or history as i will not be taking both.

But the problem is that i cannot choose between geography or history for my last slot. I enjoy both subjects equally but i have heard that geography is easier at gcse level, however universities prefer history. I also do quite well in both and get levels of high 7's and low 8's.

For a career i am thinking about going into forensic science or veterinary science, i am not sure if that links to history or geography but im just putting it out there.

I am just looking for advice on what one to take, and if anyone took either subject and their veiw on it. Thanks
