How would you (or how HAVE you) handled this situation?

Before my daughter (let s call her Sam) transitioned, my best friend and her boyfriend lived nearby. Though there was an age difference (13 and 32), Sam and Doug got along really well. They talked about and played video games together, went shopping for my Mother s Day present, etc. Now that Sam has transitioned to female, Doug doesn t want anything to do with her. He has even stated that she is not to be on his property and is never allowed to be in contact with his one year old child. Why would someone who previously had a relationship with Sam behave this way? Do you have any insight? What did you do in a similar situation?

The last episode showed him stockpiling guns and ammunition, but nothing went beyond that. I thought for sure they'd show him shooting up the school...especially when they showed all those photos he'd taken of his classmates. Does anyone have any ideas?

I'm going to NYC this summer and want to see some shows on Broadway. Is it better to buy show tickets ahead of time or take my chances with TKTS when I get there? Do most shows still have tickets available on the day of the show?

I just got an invitation to a party from a friend who is moving away. I immediately RSVPed "yes" and she messaged me to say "sorry for the late invitation, but I had to clear all the guests with my boyfriend first." I then saw that everyone else had been invited WEEKS ago! I'm hurt that I wasn't on the list earlier and probably wouldn't even have known that if she hadn't told me. Tonight I went with my 13 year old son to a friend's for Thanksgiving. There were lots of people there -- some we'd never met. When we were finished eating and just sitting around talking, my son got up and was being silly, so I told him to settle down. A man in his 40s whose own kids were in attendance said to my son, "Yeah, go sit down or I'll punch you in the face." He was clearly joking, but I just don't understand why an adult would say such a thing to ANY person, let alone a child...and one he'd never met before! Thoughts?
