  • What Should Human PH Levels Be? and Can You Test Them Yourself?

Fish die if their PH level is out of a certain range. So do plants. Since humans are mostly water, why don't we ever test out PH levels? Is there a way, like a urine dip stick, where you can test yours at home? If not, would one for a salt-water aquarium work? Or would it work if you calculated the difference between what we need and what fish need?

Anybody who can give a complete answer to this question will help in my quest to bring health and hope to other people!

  • What Helps You the Most When You're Having True Suicidal Thoughts?

I am putting together a website on total healing of body, mind, and soul....and plan to write articles compiled of information from real people who have actually gone through an experience. I see so many questions on Yahoo about suicide, plus my own son committed suicide. At the grief group I go to, 3 our of 4 people are there because loved ones committed suicide. My daughter-in-law's Mom committed suicide. I used to work in a mental health facility, and many of my co-workers had patients commit suicide.

So this is an important question. And if I receive flippant answers, snotty answers, etc., I will report you due to the nature and the seriousness of this subject.

Thank you all for any tips you can give to people who are aching to be healed of suicidal thoughts and tendencies!

  • How do I change my domain name without losing my email associated with the old domain?

I have a Yahoo Small Business website, and numerous email addresses connected with that website, and don't want to lose them, because I like having all my email accounts in one place.

However, over the years, my interests have changed, and I want to create a website with a different domain name. How can I change the name without losing the email associated with the old domain.

  • Why does IE 8 not close all my tabs?

When I tell IE8 to close my tabs, a box pops up asking me if I want to close the Current Tab or All Tabs. Sometimes I have 9 websites open at once, but IE8 rarely, if ever, closes all my tabs or even more than one tab.

  • Is there any "safe" way to open a zip file from a suspicious email?

    I received an email from

  • Yahoo Bookmarks at a Public Location Through Delicious?

I just added the new Yahoo Toolbar (a step I had to do in order to set Yahoo as my default mail client). The toolbar has a handy book marker, and I notice Yahoo was kind enough to save things I had marked YEARS ago!

Normally, I use the same computer, but am wondering if I use another computer, will I have to download the toolbar again to get my bookmarks? I was reading about DELICIOUS and am wondering if that is a place to store your bookmarks so that you can access them from any computer?

  • Is Internet Explorer 8 Optimized for Yahoo the same as IE8 that you can download from Microsoft?

I've noticed the ads to download Internet Explorer 8 Optimized for Yahoo. Is it the same as the version of IE8 that you would download from Microsoft? And if it is not the same, how is it different?

  • What kind of neck pain does one have with meningitis?

Last week, I saw the doctor because I had been feeling run down, and he gave me Ampicillan and Prednison for a an ear/throat infection, even though neither one was really hurting me.

That was about five days ago. Today, I had a nauseous headachache, which even bothered me when I moved my eyes. Also, from the back of my neck to under my jaw, all my neck is sensitive to touch, where my lymph glands are....almost feels as if somebody tried to strangle me.

However, I took some sinus/pain medication today, and my headache is bearable now. I am just wondering what kind of neck pain you have with meningitis? My daughter had that last year, and was initially assessed by a doctor who checked her neck and said she did not have it, only to end up in the hospital and almost died within a week.

Does anyone know first-hand (or is a doctor or nurse) that can describe what kind of neck pain meningitis produces?

  • Can sitting on your leg the wrong way make your foot numb?

Twice in the last week, I've gotten up from the computer, and before I realized what had happened, I flew onto the floor because I didn't feel my left leg. I tend to cross my left leg over my right leg when I'm sitting at the computer.

The reason this scares me a little is because two years ago, I was having problems walking on my left side (like not able to feel my left leg a LOT of the time) and they said I had hydrocephalus. But 3 months ago, they did an MRI and said the hydrocephalus was gone. But I'm concerned that my leg has no sensation like this lately.

  • Please help me find a link to Quatrain that Nostradamus predicted would end hungar and war.?

I am writing a movie script, and came across a Quatrain by Nostradamus years ago that I need the exact words from, as I am using that for the premise of the movie. Basically, the Quatrain said that an individual would travel into heaven and get the secret that would end hunger and pestilence (or possibly war) on the earth. I spent 17 years pondering this question, and studying screenwriting and believe a movie like this could change the world, or at least the way individuals see their purpose here, so it's really important to me and I thank you in advance.

Some search words would probably be "travel into heaven" combined with famine and pestilence.

Thank you in advance for (hopefully) a direct link where I can use the words verbatim in the script.

  • Could someone put an old man into a coma by some injection of a substance?

I am writing a movie script, and one character is an old rich man with three months to live. I want to know if there is something his (evil) niece could inject into him that would make him go into a coma, but wouldn't be detected on standard blood tests, but would stay in the bloodstream long enough that it could be detected about a week later??? Any ideas???

  • Do having vaccines against viruses create the potential of creating super-viruses?

I was reading an article on how viruses mutate and evolve, which then made me wonder if by having flu shots, etc., against everything, if in the long run we are not going to create super-viruses, or that maybe some of our known viruses actually might have come into being because we helped them mutate more quickly by attempting to eradicate them?

  • Got bit by a tic. Should I see a doctor?

About two weeks ago, a friend pulled a tic out of my hair. He burned the head, threw it away, said it was a deer tic. My neck, just above the hairline, still is a little sore. I am wondering if I should have saved the tick, if I should go to a doctor, and what kinds of tics cause Lyme disease.

  • How does one help a 16-year old that seems to be all about negativity?

I was already concerned about my boyfriend's stepdaughter, who recently tried to commit suicide. Then I saw her MySpace page, and knew we were dealing with something more than the normal teenage rebellion. Her suicide attempt dates correspond to her piercing dates. All the words she lists as her favorite words are either racist or negative. She has about 3,600 friends, and her closest friend admits she helped somebody else commit suicide. She doesnt' like being called "Emo", yet from the descriptions I read of Emo, it seems to be the closest I can find to her behavior, which seems to vary between self-destruction or destroying other people. She looks at no one when she enters the house, and if you try to be friendly and say "Hi", she mumbles HI back but that is all. The only time she communicates with anybody (outside her friends) is when she wants a favor done. Once school gets out, she is enrolled in a 12 week outpatient 4-hour a day program (as a result of the last suicide attempt).

So far, I've been working with her stepdad (who she chose to live with over her biological parents) to give her more attention when she is NOT acting mean. If ANYBODY has ever been part of the Emo culture and gotten out, I would love to hear your opinion. She seems to hate herself the way she is.

  • Am I expecting too much out of him?

When I met my boyfriend, everybody kept telling me what a "good guy" he was. Now I know why. He seems to have a Superman complex, coming to the aid of the entire town every moment of every day. We're lucky to have ANY time alone, and while I enjoy the company of other people, this morning I found myself upset because he even takes the phone into the bathroom in case anybody needs him.

He seems to want me with him much of the time, but he is always involved taking care of other people's problems, even at 3:30 in the morning, so even though I'm physically with him, I don't feel like he's really there at all.

When I do manage to get him alone without a phone, he really enjoys touching and kissing, but other than that, doesn't seem to have a romantic bone in his body.

I'd rather see less of him and have more quality time--or am I expecting too much of him?
