Because I was employed for 32 years as a claims rep for the Social Security Administration, I answer questions about Social Security & SSI under 3 categories. Oftentimes people email me for further info & I don't know what the question is they are referring to. Pls provide enough info so that I can better answer you. I want to make it clear that when I provide social security policy and/or law it does not necessarily mean that I agree with it. For that matter it doesn't mean any social security employee agrees with all of the laws they are paid to administer - they just do their job to the best of their ability.
