My phone is normally fine with receiving texts, but when I am visiting my dad I will receive text messages WAY off the mark. My phone will realize what time it "got" the text, but will not show any sign of the text or alert until sometimes hours later. My phone will vibrate with the "new" text at say, 2:00 AM and I will look at the time the text was received and it will say 10:45 PM or something. This does not happen anywhere else that I know of, just at this house. It happens with nearly every text, sometimes by a few minutes and sometimes a few hours. It makes conversations via text very difficult...

I have a kind of older Sprint flip phone. I'm planning on getting a smart phone soon, do you think that will make a difference or is it just a bad service spot?

I have a Toshiba laptop that is not in bad shape or too old, but in the last year or so my CD drive has stopped working. I will insert a CD, close the slot, and it will whir for a second and then stop, as if it is trying to read a disc but finds there is nothing there (I should mention it doesn't whir at all when there is no CD in there, so it obviously recognizes the difference). When I open a program like Windows Media Player and select Burn a disc, it says "Please insert a CD into the CD drive" as if there is nothing there. Occasionally, it actually will burn a whole CD if I hold the laptop upside down. Weird, huh? Well, I haven't had luck with that lately, so I was wondering if there is any simple thing I can do to fix this. It would make burning CD's much easier. Like I said, this has been going on for a while, but since I could just hold the laptop upside down and it would work, I lazily didn't look for a solution. Can anyone help me? I'm clearly not too tech-savvy, so "computers for dummies" would be appreciated. :)

My computer will skip every now and then, lately it's been happening about every 20 seconds or less. Sound never stops running, but all visuals completely freeze for 4 seconds (the image of the cursor gets frozen in whatever mode it was in when the computer skipped, but I can still move it) . Every time it's 4 seconds, though sometimes if I try to click more than once, Firefox may stop responding. This doesn't happen when I'm drawing, and not on FF. I have the latest version of Firefox, and my computer is pretty clean. I have a lot of photos, but I recently completely cleaned out any stray images, files, and programs I don't use. Has this happened to anyone else using Firefox? It makes watching videos a HUGE pain, as it skips so frequently.

I am trying to open a pencil sketch that I scanned into GIMP so I can color it digitally, but it's not working with me. I can go into GIMP and select File --> Open --> and select the file, which will open but I can't do anything to it. None of the tools work on it. I can create a new layer over it, but can't use the pen tool, crop tool, selection tool, even zoom, etc etc. Is the image or GIMP on some setting that I need to change? I'm fairly new with GIMP so I don't really know what's going on. The file is a JPEG, but I also tried to open it as a BMP, with no luck.

T-shirts, posters, mugs, anything? His store leaves much to be desired, and I can't find anywhere online that sells any half-decent merchandise of him. Does anybody know a place that would sell Ben Folds stuff?

It is a very brief, like 5 second stall. It affects any video playing, any typing, scrolling through a page, clicking, selecting, etc etc. But the mouse doesn't freeze, and it doesn't affect sound. It's getting bothersome, with my computer stalling every 10-15 seconds now. It makes typing and navigating any page very annoying with all the lagging. I can hear the fan in my computer whirring a bit faster when it skips, if that's important.

What can I do to fix this? Computer fix-its for dummies, please, I am not all that tech savvy, haha.

I absolutely loved "Clannad", and was extremely excited to hear that there was a second season, but I see that it's only in Japanese as of yet. I fell in love with the English voice actors, and don't really want to watch the rest of the show in Japanese... it just wouldn't be the same.

Has anybody heard anything about this? Any news on whether or not the voice actors will be returning to dub the second season of "Clannad- After Story"?

I'm applying online for a college (University of TN Knoxville), and need a little advice on a few things. I've already done my Personal Statement and the formal application, it's not about that.

How do I get the Letters of Recommendation in? As in, where do I find the address to mail them, and is it fine to send them after submitting the online application? Same questions for my transcript. I am assuming it is fine, but if someone could explain to me how they did their online application and how they sent everything in, I would greatly appreciate it. I'm worried I'm going to mess something up.

Okay, so I caught the red Gyarados, defeated Team Rocket in their hide out in Mahogany town, defeated the Mahagony Town Gym and got the Glacier Badge... It's my understanding that after this, I need to go to the Radio Tower and defeat Team Rocket there to advance past Mahogany town. However, when I went to the tower, there were no Rocket members there. There was the one outside the building, but the police officer is still standing by the stairs on the 2nd floor saying "Authorized personnel only, the director is sick". Shouldn't there be Rockets everywhere?

I'm worried that I messed something up since I saved after beating the gym, and no matter how many times I call Prof. Elm, I can't trigger the event of Rocket taking over the Radio Tower. I read that I was supposed to get a call from him after beating the gym leader, but I think I may have ignored it after the hundreds of times Lyra and other retard trainers have called me to tell me useless things. Am I totally screwed?

I have a Toshiba computer using the windows vista operating system and I just got back from college where my internet worked fine. But now at my house the internet will not connect, the wireless networks are available but the connection never goes through. What really confuses us is that my computer will connect to the wireless at another house but not at this specific house. We thought it may be a security issue but we cannot figure out why it would connect to one house and not the other. There are also several other computers that can connect to the wireless just fine, my computer is the only one with the problem. Any ideas?

So I'm a very tiny girl. 90 lbs, A cup, 22" waist, but I love corsets. I would love to be able to wear one, but I don't think that they would fit me since I have such a small bust.

I bought one online and, after measuring myself, thought it would fit. It's an over bust, and doesn't fit me at all like I thought it would. I thought that a size small would give enough room to tighten it up around the waist, but even tightened all the way it doesn't have nearly as much shape as I thought it would from the pictures, and there is a lot of room up at the chest where the material hangs off my body. If it had been an XS, it would have fit perfectly and would have been nice and tight, but the item doesn't come in an XS, and now I'm a little wary of shopping online for a corset.

So, my question: what kind of corset looks good on a tiny, skinny, small breasted girl? I prefer the look of over the bust corsets, but would an under the bust corset help emphasize my chest and still look good? Where would I get a corset that would fit me?
