I am looking to relocate to the UK in the next couple years but I would appreciate people's opinions on where they believe is the best place overall to live. I know there are some nice places in the south but I'm looking specifically at Northern England because my wife is from there and she would like to be close to her family (Northern Cheshire, Greater Manchester, Merseyside or thereabouts). Please give good clear arguments why you believe it to be a great place to live, not just a one liner, that would be much appreciated! Thank you all!

A lot has been said about how Western democracies are under attack from within by Islamists who wish to use the freedoms that they enjoy against the very societies that have welcomed them and protected their Human Rights. But what can a citizen of the Free World do to help prevent further islamification and thus, deterioration of our rights and liberties?
