When I use the "toggle" icon in the notification panel, it always acts as if its trying to turn Mobile Data on. IE, I can no longer use this icon to turn Mobile Data off.

It works fine when I turn it off via the settings, but its inconvenient to do that every time.

I'm fairly sure that this started when I ticked the "do not show this again" box when I turned Mobile Data off, so a solution might be to undo that setting.

So, does anyone know how to fix this, or how to undo the "do not show this again" setting?

I have a USB microphone, with a standard USB A "male" plug to connect it to a PC. Is it possible to get a converter so I can plug this mic into a standard 3.5mm or 6.35mm audio jack socket?

If so can anyone point me in the direction of a supplier for a converter? Or some basic instructions for a DIY solution.

I'm in the process of buying a property and a couple on my shortlist are repossessions. Neither have been trashed in any way, so they look like good bargains.

The water has been drained and there are warning stickers all over the place, none of which is a problem. My main concern is whether the gas and electricity have been disconnected by the suppliers (rather than just switched off at the meter/fusebox).

Previous experience suggests that the utility companies will not give out much information until you tell them you are definitely buying. And when mortgage lenders sell repossessions they don't know the kinds of things an occupier would so will only sell as seen, so I can't ask them.

So my question is, is there a reasonably obvious way to tell whether or not the gas or electricity have been disconnected by the supplier?

I have a Hotpoint WD71P washer / drier which has broken down. I am fairly sure I have identified the broken part, but I don't know what it is officially called, so I'm having problems sourcing a new one. Can someone identify from my description what it is, and ideally provide a link to an image so I can confirm that we are thinking about the same thing....

The top front panel of the machine has various control buttons and the display. If I take this off, left behind, attached to the machine is a circuit board. I believe this is the control board, and I don't mean this. The power button remains attached the the machine (top right corner), and behind it, inside the case is another circuit board (power board?). I don't mean this.

The panel I have removed has the buttons, which are little rubber mats, a bit like some mobile phone keyboards (or a sinclair spectrum for those old enough). These rubber buttons sit in front of the actual electrical contacts which are all on a single flexible circuit board. I really mean flexible - it can easily be folded - and is similar to overhead projector acetate sheets. This "board" connects to the control board (?) on the front of the main machine, and to a little circuit board that is attached to the LCD display (the display board?). I need the flexible board with all the button contacts on it. Please can someone tell me what it is called????

Does anybody know of a sports shop that stocks a decent number and range of hockey sticks (field hockey), preferably in the East Midlands (near Northampton).

I know there are a few online sellers but I prefer to physically compare before I buy.

All the radiators are on, but lukewarm, but the hot water seems fine. But if we drain a lot of hot water, eg by running the washing machine or having a shower, the radiators warm up to full temperature and stay there for a few hours before cooling down again.

Its nothing to do with the wall thermostat or the individual radiator thermostats.

We have a Potterton Suprima boiler, which is downstairs, with the water tank upstairs. The tank also has an immersion heater, but that has never (by us) been switched on.

This only started on Thurday, directly after the annual boiler service by British Gas. He only touched the boiler (even though he should have checked the rads) so if this was the cause I assume he must have damaged something in the boiler itself.

The engineer is coming back on Tuesday, but I prefer to know whats going on in order to make sure he does a proper job.

I understand what the Kolpak ruling is, but I would like some help on why it has had the impact that it has.

Kolpak related to an EU association agreement with Slovakia, that included clauses stating that Slovakia's ultimate objective was EU membership, and also had a section relating to free movement of workers.

Since the Kolpak ruling, it has been accepted that it means that any sportsman from a country that has an association agreement with the EU is free to play in the EU as if they were a local player and not a foreign one. Why is this? Most of these other association agreements do not have the same clauses about EU membership or guaranteeing free movement of workers (eg agreement with South Africa, OJ L 311 , 04/12/1999 P. 0003 - 0415), so why is it assumed the same rules apply?

Or have I missed something? Is there another agreement with South Africa I need to be looking at? Have the ECJ or Commission issued further guidance?
