  • Atheists: A question about prayer and religion in general.?

Does prayer bother you? If so what is it? Is it the idea of people talking to something/someone that you don't believe exists? Does it annoy you when we see people in governmental offices pray or hold events for prayer like the National Day of Prayer?

Does a particular faith bother you more than others? I know some believe certain faiths are more pushy than others.

Please be polite as I am just trying to get opinions/thoughts. Thanks!

  • 1999 Acura Windshield wipers?

The wiper on the drivers side runs normally for a minute or two but then it starts to swing over to the side of the glass. Last night it caught on something and I lost the blade (of course in the pouring rain and on interstate), replaced the blade at the first place I got to. Anyway how can I fix it to keep it on the glass and prevent this from happening again? We are using the sizes it calls for and it has done this since we got the car in October.

  • My kids found an onion growing in my kitchen?

Since we planted a small garden this year they added it to the garden. I was wondering (since I have never grown onion) if I can expect anything to come of it. Will it grow more onions this year or should I expect it to flower and get seeds? It seems to be flourishing (I expected it to rot). Will it grow more than one onion in the roots or is it just the one? Any other information or tips would be nice since this is the first time we planted a garden. If this matters we planted in mid March. It is a yellow onion that I bought from the grocery.

  • Homeschooling moms: advice?

Ok I've been homeschooling my kiddos for 4 years now and I am seriously considering going back to school myself (LPN). I am planning to be in school by September next year, I'm thinking probably night classes. Has anyone else done this? Any advice on how to make this really work for us? Giving up home schooling is NOT an option, so don't even suggest it! The admissions lady seemed to think it would be too difficult to teach and study what I need too. I have worked most of the time we have been homeschooling so I don't see it as too big a problem.

The lesson has to last about 30 minutes.

  • I need ideas to help my 8yo son?

Ok my 8yo is a kinesthetic learner and has been diagnosed ADD. He gets board easily (especially with math) and will literally take ALL day to do one simple worksheet. We have been using Math U See and recently switched him to Head of the Class, thought a change might help, but he is still taking all day. He understands the work (even the new work) just takes all day to do the work. The rest of his work he can fly through with no problems for the most part. Any ideas to help us get through math?

  • Computer help Windows 7?

Help! I was trying to fix a problem my father in is having with his computer following the instructions that were sent to us through tech assistance with a program he wants. I opened the file it said to and Windows gave me a list of what to open it with. I chose "Windows Media Center and clicked ok. I didn't realize that the box at the bottom that tells the computer to open all programs with that file was checked.

Can someone please tell me how to get everything back like it's supposed to be?

  • 2000 Chevy cavalier question?

My cavalier has over 200,000 miles on it and it just started giving us a problem. I am hoping someone can point us in the right direction to get it fixed. It is idling roughly when we are in stop an go traffic, when it does this it has died a couple of times, like it doesn't have any gas, but it starts right back up. Last week my husband changed the fuel pump, sending unit, and fuel filter, he also filtered the gas before putting it back in the tank. He is planning to do a tune up this week. I am hoping someone can help us figure out what may be wrong with it. Thanks!

  • Plant Fungus? How can I get rid of it?

My boss has a plant she wants me to do something with. I already picked out all the dead stuff, wiped it down and watered it, but it has a white hairy looking fungus or mold or something growing on it. We thought it was maybe just plaster and stuff since they are doing a lot of refurbishing work in our building and we weren't looking that closely, but this isn't wiping off. Any suggestions on how to get rid of it CHEAPLY? The easier the better since I am not a plant person! I think the plant is a "Nepthytis" at least that is what it looks like in the pictures from one of the nursery websites in our area.

  • Why is it that those with out faith have to bash or be rude to those with it?

It is coming into Christmas time. A time of good will and faith in something greater than ourselves. Why do some believe that they must always bash those who are truly faithful? Why do you feel the need to be rude, spiteful or just plain mean? I am not an unintelligent person just because I have faith in something greater than I am. Also why do they focus on Christians? Why not Muslims, Buddhist, or hindus?

Be nice I'm not attacking you just wondering why you feel that you need to do this. Rudeness just shows your insecurities so I challenge you to be polite and give an Honest answer.
