  • Where do NHS fines go?

When a NHS Trust is fined a large sum of money for misconduct, what happens to the money? Where does it go? Where does it come from? If it just comes out of the Trust's yearly funding then surely this is just reducing the trust's efficiency and that is silly.

Can anyone solve this for me please

  • Web page advertising?

I have just started to notice a new form advertising on web pages I am browsing. Certain words are highlighted in GREEN and underlined. If you pass the mouse over them they are not a link relating to that word as I would have expected, but are pop up adverts. I find them very annoying and do not really know if I can block them. If I try blocking them with Adblock it just removes the word completely, but only that particular advert.

Does anyone know if there is a way to overcome these?

    Thank you

  • Is it possible to refuse emails?

Is there an email system that allows the user to refuse emails under set criteria? I know I can block emails using a filter system but it is very limited. For example I try to block pharmacy emails by specifying certain words in the subject area of the filter, for example: "toothpaste" this only works as long as the sender does not concatenate the words; for example, "Buy-toothpaste". Also as most of these morons change the email address by, maybe, just one letter each time they send is it possible to use "wild cards" to cover a range of addresses like *@*.com ?

Lastly is there a system that would allow not just the blocking of this type of spam but the refusal and return of the email?

Can anyone advise please. At present I use gmail

    Thank you

  • Wireless network connection problem?

Every time I start my computer (a Samsung X80 laptop, running windows XP) It tells me I have a wireless connection, but I cannot connect to the internet. I need to open Network Connections, select Wireless Network- Properties, select the Wireless Network. The Use windows to configure my wireless network settings box is not ticked. If I tick this box and continue the connection is established and the internet connection is OK until the next start up. I have the properties for this connection set to Connect automatically to network when in range.

I have been told that the problem lies with some other piece of software controlling the network connection, which I understand. But I do not know what other piece of software it is or how to find it.

Has anyone else ever had this problem? if so can you help me please.

    Thank you

  • What are your views on the sex trade?

These are not my views but I recently read them in a book. I am interested in other peoples views.

"This kind of Western hypocrisy disgusts me, quite frankly. Why doesn't the BBC make a documentary on the rag trade, with all those women working 16 hour days for less than a dollar an hour? What is that if not selling your body? The west does not care about exploitation of women, it simply has a problem with sex and at the same time they are using sexual titillation to sell their products. They love to embarrass middle aged white men who hire the girls. Western women cannot handle the fact that their men get a better time with the girls than they do at home. If they are too mean spirited to give their men pleasure, that's their problem. The bottom line is that it is about money. Thailand makes very little income from industries like clothing manufacture because western countries take the lions share of the profit. But in the sex trade we see a true redistribution of global wealth from West to East. That's what has got them so hung up!!!!

  • BBC Television Repeats?

Are there too many repeats on BBC television? Personally I find that over half of every day is taken up by repeated television programs, some of them for the 3rd or 4th time in a year or so. Is there a way to get the BBC to stop this and produce some new programs with the licence fee we pay. I have tried writing to them about it but all they do is send a standard reply letter saying that they get MORE requests for repeats than they do for new programs. Views please
