Back in March I ordered a custom product from an online website by getting into direct contact with the sales team for the company. Their website promoted that there would be a ten week period between ordering and shipping while the contact from the company specifically told me that it would likely be even less (he quoted me eight weeks instead).

After paying the $4,600 I've been in constant contact with them regarding the status of the product, though I've only received vague "we're running behind" and "soon" answers. I've also learned that others were having issues with them not delivering products as far back as January, well before I was told "eight weeks" by the representative.

Now I've tried asking them to cancel the order for failing to deliver and have been met only with silence.

With a letter of demand, would a small claims court be likely to rule in my favor for the company failing to provide the goods that they said they would? Or would their claims of "it's just been delayed" get them off the hook?

If someone has broken a contract for sending me payments and lives in a different state than me, which state/county would a small claims court filing need to take place?

Would I have to go file it in their court or could I do it in my home state?

Currently I'm in a situation where someone owes me a little under $1,000 USD and has signed a contract saying that they will send me payments of $250 by the 15th of every month until the full payment is met.

However, this month I have received no payment despite them still owing the $1,000 and am wondering what actions are possible should the need arise for legal action.

I've contacted them in an attempt to get a response for the late/missing payment but have yet to hear back and want to see what other options may be available. As of right now both of us live in the United States, though we do live in different states. I have heard that Small Claims Courts are the way to go for this to get my money back but I've also heard that Collection Agencies are much cheaper and just as effective.

What would likely be the best method should I have to rely on these methods to get my money back and would it be worth it? (Ex: Having to pay $1,100 in court fees to get back $1,000 would not be worth it.)

I ordered a product from an online company six months ago and they assured me that the product would be ready within two-three months max. However, after five months of not hearing any updates and the "CEO" of the company constantly evading my questions of how much longer and even deliberately ignoring my e-mails all together, I decided to cancel the order and just be done with the whole ordeal.

About 1/3 of my original purchase was sent back but they are still keeping quite a bit of money because they "need to sell the product that I ordered" before I get the full refund. Which means I might as well be sitting in limbo until they decide to actually send my money back.

Given that I have paid them yet received no services or products (and am not expecting to anymore), is it legal for them to simply keep my money like this and if not, what can be done about it?

Also, if anyone knows at what point it goes from just a really really slow company and to actually becoming fraud, let me know? Thanks in advance.

Not all of you make the claim that your deity matches those attributes, but a lot of you do.

Justice: The administering of deserved punishment or reward.

Mercy: The discretionary power of a judge to pardon someone or to mitigate punishment, especially to send to prison rather than invoke the death penalty.

So, how can any one entity be both of these things given that they are contradictory to one another? Either your deity deals out reward and punishment in a completely just manner or he is merciful and will not deal out punishment as deserved but will "go light" on those who "deserve punishment".

My car was acting up so I decided to take it to a mechanic the other day but, to my amazement, he started talking about COMBUSTION (that evil theory that was made up by the pixie lord) and he claims that it is how cars run!

Everyone knows that fairies power the engine of a car, I even have a book written by the fairies just for me that tells me that cars run on fairy power.

Yet that evil mechanic still insists that engines run on COMBUSTION! He even tried taking apart an engine to show me but I think it was just a ploy to confuse me with complicated topics.

How can this mechanic be that arrogant to think that he knows engines better than the fairies themselves?

Has anyone else had problems like this?

Even though the Canaanite language was never spoken in Egypt and is now a dead language, I'm sure that this prophesy was fulfilled if you interpret it right!

Even though Damascus is still standing today with millions of people living in it, I'm sure this prophesy will come to pass some day!

I've heard many of you say that but I was curious, why do you prefer to put more faith in the writings of men than the "works of God".

If your god does exist, then surely he made the reality we live in. However, even you guys admit that the Bible was written down by humans (though inspired by God, it was still written by fallible humans). So why do you insist that you dismiss the works of your own god in favor of the writings of men?
