  • Tunisia to Morocco Exit fee?

Could you tell me please if it is true that flying from Tunisia into Morocco would incur a 60td exit fee? I have never heard of this before. Im sure it would not be for a visa as they are neighbouring African countries - even so, a visa would not cost that large amount. Many thanks in advance.

  • Convoy out of Europe?

I am trying to organise a convoy to Morocco taking resources such as warm clothing for the enclaves, tools and clothing for regions such as Sale Tabriquet, Bouknadel, Carriane regions of Sale Casablanca... I need to know the legal requirements please i.e TA forms for outside of Europe, what other papers and legalities are necessary. I am going to work alongside the respective INDH agencies and the Bouregreg Association Morocco. Unfortunately they are not in a position to give advice on my requirements for bringing vehicles through Customs / Douane in Calais nor Tangiers. I would appreciate any advice, or which best category to ask this question. Kind regards in advance,

  • How do I stand Culturally and legally with this theft and missing person who did not steal the money?

Please note, I have posted this question also in the law and enforcement page as I need to get a legal and cultural perspective. Thank you all in advance for your help

I have stayed with my 'family' in Morocco for the past 4 years after being in contact with them for over 20 years.

I stay regularly, i always take gifts and have given 3'2 million Dh for a car and 1.1 million Dh. Im not complaining i gave with free will as i stay regularly with this family.

I leave my clothing at the house so my case has free space to take their gifts each time - food, clothes etc. When i drove to Morocco from UK i filled the car with everything possible including a secondhand hoover, quilt, food..... I give money for Ramadan, and have given 1000Dh toward the sheep for Eid el Adha ......

I say this to paint the picture in order that you can advise. The family (not all) do not like the fact that I do humanitarian work in Morocco and pay fares, medicines etc from my own money, they ask why i do not give to them as they are poor - they have many houses but live very meagerly. Each time i go, i buy food - more than enough to cover my stay and ensure they have sufficient food for the family. The youngest son has always helped me and accompanied me to places such as Ministry of health, chamber of commerce... to translate for me as my French is not perfect and my Arabic minimal.

I stayed with the family in October and before leaving i gave the sister the 1000dh toward the sheep (nsns diel haouli) after giving her the 1000, the following lunchtime (i had not left the house) someone had removed my hijab and prayer mat from my handbag and stolen 1500dh in Moroccan money and £100 English. My bankers card remained there and the purse was closed tidily.

The younger son was not present in the house at the time of the theft. He has my Moroccan bank details but has never touched anything despite me saying in emergency take 500Dh....

The family denied the theft, UI told the son and he pleaded with me not to go to the police as it would cause a big problem for the family. They would not return my money saying that a man must have come into the house to steal the money. At the time, there were builders in the house - they could not have touched the money as they would have to pass the 2 people in the room at the time.

I went to the police - after 4 hours they gave me a choice of either persuing the theft or dropping charges. By that time the brother of the family who is a policeman had come to the police station to hasten the matter. The police told me that if i per sued the matter, the youngest son would be in deep trouble. I replied that he had done no wrong so why should he be in trouble....It was emotional blackmail but i dropped the case. The following day i needed to return to collect my passport, the younger son had been questioned the previous day so also had to return for his ID card. We were there 4 hours again. The brother came to the police station. After lengthy conversation with the police he emerged asking me for 100dh - I refused. The younger son had no money the sister gave 100dh which the brother gave to the police.

Tat night i arrived in Marrakech prepared for my flight home. The younger son and I talked for over 3 hours on the phone talking of how he had helped me, how the family had treated him so badly over the time id known him - at least the past 4 years....He asked me to promist to phone him before i got on the plane the following day. I rang as promised. We speak 3 times per week on the phone when I am in England.

I returned and rang him as promised as he wanted to know id arrived in the UK safely. There was no reply. He has now been missing from the family home for 13 days. One family member say he is in Agadir, another told me he is in Moulay Jacoub, another says he has psychiatric problems and has left. The one who i am sure stole the money said that he had been into drugs... I know this is untrue as i could tell a drug addict or the actions etc of someone who 'deals' my work has trained me for this.

If He has cut me off (i would not think so as he has been in touch for over 20 years) as long as it is his choice i would be happy for him but i really think the family have 'done something'.

At Eid Ul Adha they keep the blood of the sheep i learned thnis is Haram. Another member of the family told me to beware of this family as they use Sihr - i believe this to be magic?

Please advise or email me with help. I really think i need to spewak with the Embassy....but before i am asking you all for direction inchallah.

  • I would like to start an organisation, can anyone please advise me?

I am doing humanitarian work, and am hoping to raise cash by donations/ sponsorship to purchase items for the 2 health centres that i am helping overseas. Do I have to be registered to accept public money, or can I accept the donations and put them into a specified account if i have a treasurer?

The reason I ask is that many years ago i raised thousands of pounds in order to buy much needed equipment, but nowadays the law may have changed due to unscrupulous goings on, money laundering etc. I would appreciate any advice please.

  • People in Morocco - What type of health centre would best benefit Morocco that is not available at present?

Sorry, I have posted this in 'Travel >Morocco' But my question involves both Morocco and Health.

I am researching health provision, health promotion in Morocco. I love the country and want to set up there. It will be non-profit making for me (apart from salary and moderate expenses) but will benefit the country in respect of health issues, employment and tourism. Any pointers will be greatly appreciated. I am a nurse with experience in haematology /Stroke / Cancer / Acute general medical. I am aware that the Princess Selma is quite involved in Cancer care provision therefore would like to follow an alternative route. .

  • Would I legally be able to employ a foreign person to care for my family?

My grandmother is in a residential home. She wants to return to her own home. Though she is terminally ill she can make her needs known, though needs toileting and bathing etc. She can have carers 4 times daily, but would require someone at night. This is nigh on impossible here but I have family in Morocco. How do I stand legally if I were to ask a family member to come over here to care for her? what are the legal requirements for work permit etc please?
