This might sound crazy, but I just killed a spider when it was crawling on my desk(I smashed it with the end of a pocket knife.)

It was dead, and just being there on the side of my desk(It wasn't on top of it, it had crawled onto one of the wide sides of it, aka perpendicular towards the ground), and I finished my game.

This took about 10 minutes or so.

Then, after I was done, I went to get a paper towel to pick it up and throw it away. When I came back, and since I am a bit afraid of spiders, I hesitantly tried grabbing the spider with the paper towel. As soon as I made contact with it, the main body like disappeared, and I thought it had fallen, but I noticed dust/smoke rising from the area. When I checked the floor, it simply wasn't there. Not a trace of it. It was a rather large spider too.

So, do spider corpses have a possibility to turn into smoke/dust?
