When were your good ol' days, and why were they so good?
With this legendary site shutting down soon, all the drama this side of the century, and the edge lords having fun with hilariously stupid questions, I figured I would ask something wholesome if people want to share some little stories from their life.
Rest in piece Yahoo Answers, it's the end of an internet era for many of us.

3 AnswersPolitics2 weeks agoHow do I use a controller with Minecraft Java Edition?
Every controller mod for the game that I've tried has been broken in some unusable way. I know the controller itself works because it works in other games, but all the mods that make Minecraft controller compatible don't work.
1 AnswerPC3 weeks agoMy Android phone is lagging really badly after cleaning it up?
I needed more storage space so I uninstalled a few apps that I don't use anymore and cleared out some photos that I don't care about and now my phone is lagging REALLY BADLY. It's almost unusable. Opening the Play Store takes about 30 seconds, and usually freezes and becomes unresponsive. The home screen takes about 10-20 seconds to load. Everything else is also really slow and almost unresponsive. The buttons on the bottom take about 10 seconds to respond too. It wasn't like this before I freed up space.

Every time I join a meeting or breakout room, my volume gets automatically turned all the way up and it's super annoying. I'm using Debian Linux.
Software2 months agoHow do I make Youtube stay on 1080p?
I'll just be watching a video, then suddenly it'll get notched down to something like 480p, then later maybe 360p, so on and so on. I know my internet and computer are not struggling because I can manually switch it back to 1080p without an issue, but it goes back to auto when I go to a new video.
My internet measures 81 down, 6 up, and 15ms ping. My specs are i5 4210M, 8gb RAM, 500gb SSD, Fedora Linux, which I think should be overkill for 1080p Youtube.
2 AnswersYouTube3 months agoIs isopropyl alcohol ok for cleaning an LCD display?
I normally use regular lens cleaner and a microfiber cloth to clean my laptop screen, but I misplaced the lens cleaner and my screen is getting quite smudgy. I have a bottle of 99% isopropyl alcohol, can I use that? Also, is it ok that there would be a large spot of alcohol on the microfiber cloth, since I can't really spray it?
3 AnswersOther - Electronics3 months agoHow close could a modern street legal vehicle get to being fully anti-computer and simple?
If a company wanted to make a very simple reliable vehicle without all the fancy stuff like engine computers, air conditioning, and other electrical stuff, how far could they get and still be road legal? Kinda like the 80s-90s Toyota pickup trucks with their beautiful simplicity. Would it be possible to make a modern anti-computer carbureted engine that complies with emissions regulations? What about modern safety requirements, would that be a show stopper somehow? Just how far towards simplicity could it get?
Note: This is purely hypothetical, I know the audience for such a vehicle would be small and not very profitable, if at all. Assume USA law.
10 AnswersOther - Cars & Transportation4 months agoMy laptop has really bad stuttering when connected to the TV, and webpages lag when loading.?
Vidoes stutter, webpage scrolling stutters, scrolling through files stutters, even desktop animations run really badly, though less badly then everything else. The mouse arrow also stutters, but only when everything is stuttering at it's worst. It's not a consistent low fps, it feels like it's constantly fluctuating causing the stutter effect. Everything is fully updated, so no issue there. What could the issue be?
ASUS K53E
Intel Core i3 2310m
Intel HD 3000 graphics
8GB of RAM
240GB SSD, about 1/3 full
Fedora 32
TV: Samsung, Orientation Landscape, 1920x1080(16:9), 60.00 Hz, 125%, single display mode
