My daughter is about to start Pre-k, but was wondering how I can get her into a magnet school. Do I need to apply for her to go?

We had insurance through his job but now that he got laid off we are unable to keep it. How soon can we apply for Medicaid? Do we have to wait till his job cancels our insurance? We are not sure how long that takes. I am 6 months pregnant.

Let me start off by saying our family has insurance through my husbands job, and I am currently 6 months pregnant. Today he got laid off and now we are trying to figure out what should be our next move. We have good insurance but doubt we will be able to keep it now. He will most likely get a job but pay will be way lower. Talked to insurance and they want to charge me $570 a month to cover my pregnancy and that s just me alone without my family. No way we can keep insurance. My question is...when is the soonest I can apply for medicaid\Chip? We didn t qualify back then but I m sure we will now. Do I have to wait till his job cuts off our insurance to apply or can I already start? I have no idea what to do. This has just been a rough day. If anyone can advice me that would be great. Thanks!

Okay this is probably the dumbest craziest question I have ever asked but.....I want to open a clothing store using a brand from Russia. It is a small boutique that has gorgeous clothes that I think should be sold in America. I have never seen clothes like that here before. I think it is something very different. My question is how would I go about this. I have no idea what to do. But I can always learn. I would love to do this here in America. I love fashion and would love to do this.someone please give me advice on how to approach this situation.....

My child just turned 3 and has a speech impediment. I found a school that will take her at the age of 3( due to speech impediment) and has speech therapist teachers. Unfortunately it is not in our district but yet we live right around the corner. The school that is in our district has no special kind of help to offer like the other school. My daughters pediatrician advised us to put her in a head start but we make too much. Do you think if I talk to the other district and tell them our situation they will allow my daughter to attend? I don't want to lie about my address. Also she will be going to a speech therapist but her doctor recommends for her to be around other kids. I need some advice what should I do!?

OK so I have cigna and just had my baby. my husband has aetna through his job and is going to put us in his plan. My insurance says I have 30 days to sign my newborn up. Problem is, I don't want to because my husbands getting us insurance through his job. So I'm wondering if my final hospital bills will still be the same if I don't sign my newborn up with them and just cancel. Or should I put him on so his stay at the hospital will be covered. I am terrible when it comes to insurance. Its tricky. If someone could explain how insurance works after having a baby that would be great. I want to be sure before I cancel. Thanks!

The chip/Medicaid website says our income may be too high to qualify. Is there a possibility we can still receive chip. I had to go to the emergency room for spotting recently so that bill will be around 3 or 4,000. Then we still have truck payments and way more bills. I guess I just wanted to know if anyone out there who's income was too high was still able to get chip?

My mother in law recieves food stamps for herself because she is unable to work. We just moved in and I just found out I'm pregnant. So Im going to apply for medicaid. The problem is she put that she lived on her own which she did at the Time. If I'm going to use the same address does she need to call them and let them know we moved in. Or can I just go ahead and use it.

Were planning to have a baby but I want to surprise him when its for sure. Just in case I do become pregnant, when will be a better time to tell him, Christmas or his birthday.
