Home Office has acted against their own rules - what can I do?
I am an EEA national. My non EEA spouse had a family member visa. He left before 5 yrs were up (after 3yrs 4 months). He married someone else abroad and brought her into the country - the Home Office let her in although we were not divorced and polygamy is not recognised under the immigration rules. I divorced him and complained to the Home Office but they granted him PR anyway and have taken no action against him or the woman who is essentially an illegal immigrant.
5 months after our divorce they had a child on the NHS, although as an illegal immigrant she was not entitled to free treatment. I complained to the NHS but they said it was a Home Office matter.
I complained to the Registrar General that he had made a false declaration on the child's birth certificate ie that he was legally married to the child's mother. As there is no record of his marriage to this woman in this country it was not a legal marriage. It seems they have asked him if he was legally married, he has said yes, they have not asked for proof and have just let the matter go.
They live not far from me and he has made threats against me and my (not his) children. The police have been sympathetic and noted them as a domestic violence incidents. I have complained to my MP but so far no one is doing anything to enforce Immigration rules or take any action against either of them. What can I do?
3 AnswersImmigration8 years agoWhy do some emails with sound not work?
I've created html email stationery with sound and it works fine.
However other times it does not work when I send it - it say 'picture not found may not display correctly'. I've tried including the sound in the stationery file (like you have to with a picture) but that doesn't seem to work.
It seems to be random as to which emails with sound work and which don't (even if they are both wav sounds) why?
2 AnswersSoftware1 decade agoImmigration law re spouse, as of 27th November 2008?
you can only bring in your non-EEA spouse with you to the UK if you are both above the age of 21
- how are they getting away with this under the Human Rights Act Article 8 - Right to respect for private and family life and Article 12 Right to marry, when in the UK you are free to legally marry at the age of 18?

Is anyone going to challenge this?

5 AnswersPoland1 decade agoDo the people who got the Gary Glitter question deleted think they achieved something?
I answered it with the following comment
abuse is likely to cause harm in adult life and affect a person's relationships FOREVER, including affecting any children they may have.
as for the extent of it - it is absolutely rife. People think that there may be a few sex offenders in their locality but the reality is that there will be tens of them and many more who have not got caught yet.
Gary Glitter has had an easy ride. There will have been many more children that he has abused in the past that we don't know about. It is a fact that paedophiles start when they are young, even in their teens. We need more people like him to be made an example of.
I was adding an edit when it got deleted - we need to know that people have stupid or naive viewpoints, getting their questions deleted will not make them go away
