  Should I move out?

  I’m female 24 years old and a nurse. I’ve had this job for 2 years but I’m still living with my mom. Hospital is 15 miles and It takes me 20 mins freeway driving to get to work

  What do you do if you live in a small city, but travel to a major city and have to drive?

  Let's say you live in a small city/town and rarely encounter bad traffic. You drive to a big city with rush hour traffic and 12-lane highways. I've lived my entire life in a small city and I want to travel to a big city, but I'm scared of driving there. I'm used to quiet roads and no traffic.

  USA vacations/trips where you do not need a car?

  We already been to Boston MA, Atlantic City NJ, Washington DC, Philadelphia PA,  and we live in NYC.

  Any other options? We don’t have a car (yet) and my husband is working on getting his drivers license at the moment.

  May is usually quite chilly, while June and July often have beautiful, warm weather. Are you going on a cruise or flying there? Our cruise had stops in Skegway, Juneau, and a couple of other places. If you're not on a cruise, you need to figure out how to go up the Inner Passage, to see the glaciers. We ziplined in one place. In Juneau, you can tag the cable car up to the wildlife refuge on the mountain and walk around. Skegway is fun to just walk around in- it's like an Old West town. If you go in May or early June, take layers and rain gear.

  There is not one place that is objectively better to visit than another.  Some people want one kind of experience and some people want another.  It depends upon what you like to do.  It also depends upon the time of year as the weather in the two places you mention are very different.

  Los Angeles is more or less a suburban experience but with some aspects of an urban one.  There are many theme parks and amusement parks, art museums and other cultural events, the Griffith Observatory, as well as the beach and the hills to hike in.  If you go to Los Angeles, though, be prepared to sit in a lot of traffic as you drive from one end to the other.  It's very spread out and the roads are very crowded.

  Maine has some small cities but it is more of a rural experience.  It too has the ocean (although too cold for swimming in my opinion) and an awful lot of beautiful country to look at.  There is Acadia National Park (incredible!), lighthouses and quaint villages, etc. etc.  On the other hand, it gets really cold in the winter.  I would only want to visit Maine in the summer.  

  Personally, I would go to Maine if I were you.  It's a whole state, and you can get a much wider variety of experience there than in Los Angeles.  At least, when you're in the car in Maine, you're driving someplace and seeing beautiful scenery.  In Los Angeles you'll be looking at an ugly freeway as you inch along in traffic.

  What state should I visit?

  I've never been outside of Arizona and I want to explore a different state than my own. I don't want it to remind me of Arizona, one bit. I was thinking of visiting Minneapolis, Minnesota but I'm unsure if it's safe.

  There are an average of 21 fatalities per year on I-80 in Wyoming and in Nebraska.  There are nearly twice as many deaths per year on I-40 in New Mexico.  It is worse on I-40 in Tennessee; over 50 deaths per year.  The worst is Hwy. 1 in Florida; over 100 deaths per year.

  Will Florida Move Its Capital?

  There are many states where the capital is nowhere near the most heavily populated areas- California and New York, for example. What does that have to do with anything? Do you know how much it would cost to move a capital? And the number of staffers who would have to be uprooted? Changing the address on the stationery alone would cost taxpayers millions. Doesn't Florida have better things to do with it's tax money?

  Is the US East Coast better than the West Coast?

  New York City is a true multicultural city (possibly the only one in this country) and people there love their roots. Los Angeles is just a rootless city with Mexicans and Asians who don't integrate. It has many earthquakes, wildfires and smog too.

  And Boston, despite its homogeneous image, is more diverse than Seattle. The former also has many good foods, sports, awesome hospitals, and lots of history and tourist attractions. Lots of Irish, Italian, Greek, Portuguese, Asian, Haitian, Lebanese, etc. Speaking of Seattle, it's just a damp, run down city full of grumpy white people and a shell of its former self. Only known for a has-been musical genre in the early 1990s. It's also ready for a volcanic eruption, like California is ready for a monster earthquake.

  And don't start with San Francisco!

  Also, people on the West Coast support a permanent confinement, even long after the pandemic....like it's their sexual kink. Gavin Newsom says this idea isn't off the table.

  Can I travel coast to coast in USA on one highway or would i gave to change highways?

  The closest you'll get is I-10.  It gets pretty close to the Atlantic in Jacksonville and almost to the Pacific in LA.  

  I-80 comes fairly close to the Atlantic, hitting I-95 just outside of NYC.  It's other end is in San Francisco (it crosses over the bay, which is an extension of the Pacific).

  I-90 runs from Boston Harbor to I-5 in Seattle.  

  You might be able to do it on a couple of US highways, although none of those are truely a straight route.

  I moved to America but I didn't know you don't get 30 vacation days and I'm?

  I'm really upset. I come from the UK where we typically get about 30 vacation days a year and it's mandatory.. actually it's mandatory in almost the entire world but moving to America I didn't know I only get 10 days off after a year. How is this allowed? 

  How do you do things or take time off? 10 days what and I have to wait an entire year to get them? I can't even take unpaid days! So I have zero days off for a year then only 10? Is this real life??

  What beach city is the most popular spring break destination for United States college kids ?

  That depends what coast you're on. Students in the east mostly flock to Florida. California kids head to the beaches there or to Mexico. Mexico is very popular because they can legally drink at 18 there.
