    and inch is 2.5 cm and a foot is 12 inchs, so 160 cm would be 5 feet and 4 inchs.

    I carry around that about 2.54 cm is an inch. So, that is the one I use.

    Take 160 and divide by 2.54 to get inches then divide by 12 to get feet.

    Unit analysis is a good trick to make sure you are using your conversions correctly. By that, I mean write the units down and treat them like fractions. Cancel as appropriate. When you are done, your units on the number should be right, too.

    160 cm * 1 inch/2.54 cm * 1 foot/12 inches
