My apostrophe key is doing weird stuff when I try to use it, like jumps to previous line, why is that?
Particularly when I use Y! messenger and also when I tried to type it here.
Update:
No, it isn't a lapttop, but you may be right about the keyboard, was a find in a carboot sale :-D;

Are you using a laptop keyboard? Often laptops will put the number pad and arrow keys on the same keys as letters, and the NumLock will force letters to appear as numbers.
If it's a regular keyboard, it's probably failing and needs to be replaced.
