If i delete files off of my computer will it erase them when i plug in my Ipod?

I would like to clean out some of the movies off of my hard drive if i erase them off of my comp when i plug in my ipod will it erase them off of there?

    it depends if it is deleted off iTunes if it is then yes it will so sorry---

    If you erase them from your computer, it will take them off your ipod if you have it set to automatic update.

    You can set it to manual, so your ipod works more like an external hard drive (with a shiny silver back)

    I can't recall where these setting are because I am not in front of a computer with itunes.. but they are easy to find.

    Although, if you are talking about movies only. They're probably not on your ipod anyway.

    if You delete the song from the itunes library yes it will be deleted off your ipod but this depends on if you have your ipod set to auto sync or manual sync with manual sync it will not.

    this is wat i did:

    i deleted the movies off my hard drive, but not my itunes, so its fine. all that happens is a window pops up that say the movie cant be found, thats it. u get to free up hard drive space and still keep the movies on ur ipod.

    it did that with mine when i tried to sync some other songs on so i just pressed stop sync when it got to the removing part.
