I just watched "9/11: The Conspiracy Files" on BBC2. This trashed most of the Conspiracy Theories around the..
....tragic events of September2001. While identifying some incompetencies by the FBI and others in tracking the activities of the purpertrators.
In your opinion are people who indulge in these Conspiracy Theories:
a). Suffering from a mental illness that causes paranoia?
b). Willing to believe anything that puts the USA or the West in general in a bad light?
c). Desperate to give their lives a little reflected glamour by joining an in-group who claim "Know the real truth"?
Somehow this question duplicated itself, both in Media & Journalism. I'm about to resolve this version. If you still wish to comment please respond to the other "live" version.

I watched this as well. I think c). More incompetence than conspiracy. Its like a game of chinese whispers, where someone hears something, adds to it and passes it off as true.Unfortunately the US has a name for not being truthful, so it leaves people not quite trusting them and looking for lies.
