Do you find size 12 fat?
I can't belive 97% of people think it is fat and 6 out of 10 women think size 0 is attractive. I like size 0 but I don't think size 12 is fat its a bit chubby but not fat. What do you think, do you like size 0?

Firstly, most people don't even know the true measurements for a UK size 12 and most shops don't follow the standard sizing, meaning a size 12 in one shop is a size 14 or size 10 in another. Secondly, clothes size doesn't dictate whether you are fat or not, your body fat percentage and waist measurement are the only two things that matter.
And to the girl above, yes you can be 5ft, a size 12 and perfectly healthy. Why do people always assume that all people under 5ft4 must be small framed and no more than a size 8?
I'm 5ft2 and wear a size 12 on my hips (size 10 on top). I have pretty wide hip bones and have never been less than about 37 inches around my hips/bum (size 10) and even then my hips bones were protruding and my bum looked flat.....I was a size 8 on top, but I had no boobs and my face looked gaunt. It was not a very good look for me!
So I prefer to keep my hips measurement around 38-39 inches just to look healthy. I'm not overweight, my body fat is healthy, I have a healthy waist measurement of 27 inches giving me an ideal waist/hip ratio of 0.7.
This is the way my body is. People are too obsessed with being stick thin and forget people come in all different shapes and sizes.
The survey carried out is very iffy and I've since found another survey that completely contradicts it, stating size 12 to be the perfect size according to the majority of men and women in the UK (see details below).

You are not fat whatsoever from what I can see. You have a lovely figure. I'm 5ft2, 9 stone and I have always been a UK size 10/12 (measurements 35-27-38). I know that I'm not 'fat' because I've had my body fat tested on several occasions and it was 24% (which is perfectly healthy for a female). I have no idea why some people think a UK size 12 is fat, people have gone mad.

When are people gonna get it, like really get the fact that size 0 on majority of women is NOT ok, it is the same measurments as a 7yr old child so how can that possibly be healthy, sexy or normal. If we were intended to be that size we would stop growing at 7yrs old oppossed to our teens/early 20's.
For the record, i am a size 12, very fit and very healthy, infact i'm so confident that were i competing a race or exercise challenge against some size 0 girls i would beat them hands down, and thanks but my body is toned and in proportion and not chubby, even more importantly i have a healthy and realistic opinion of my size 12 curves and love them which in turn makes others love them.......never had any complaints and to be frank wouldn't have a care if someone did find my body disguisting because i know it's working well for me and i love it.

I would LOVE to be a UK size 12. I'm a UK size 14 at the moment, and according to the BMI I'm about 7lb overweight.
Now, according to ads like Special K etc. with the "drop a jeans size" campaign, the small print indicates that the expected weight loss is about 7lb.
Doing the maths, if I lose the 7lb, and a jeans size accordingly, I will be the correct weight, and a UK size 12.
I love my curves (maybe a little TOO curvy on the bottom half, hence still trying to lose the last few lbs). As far as I 'm concerned size 0 - which to my understanding is the average size of models - is basically a coathanger with legs. NOT SEXY. NOT ATTRACTIVE

whats with the " im not size 12!im 8!" lol u obvioulsy do think its fat if you dont want people thinking your a 12. Anyways
Well im a size 6-8 (5'7) and i have to say that i dont think size 12 is too fat but i do think size 0 is ok. i think if you are short then size 0 is ok. But for me. It isnt attainable

I would say a 12 is a normal, healthy size to be. The size 0 debate is getting old and it is obvious that few people are naturally that size.

not really because size isn't a relation of fat, a size 12 could still have 0% body fat althought none has 0% body fat because if they did their skin would be almost see-through.
Size 0 couldn't out run anybody due to wind resistance they would just blow away.

i would like to say that a size 12 in british standards is a very healthy looking size to be.most size 12s are not chubby women they are healthy looking with enough fat to cover their skeletons the size zero is unhealthy and damaging to your body almost as much as anerexia and bulimia
